Here comes Summer let's stay active.

Lindy, what a wonderful testimonial! My little ray of sunshine yesterday, was that Yvonne bought me a new pair of 30" waist jeans. First time I've been in this size since my early 20s....I'm 54 now. I just can't believe it and I'm just 2 lbs off the Personal Fat Threshold set by my surgery. Happy days. Keep pressing on Lindy

Oh, I wore the wrong sandals on my walk yesterday - got a blister now on the sole of my foot.

Raining today - once I lose a bit of weight, I shall look to see what the various sports centres offer as I would like to swim too (haven't done that in years).

Loving reading what you are all doing ....

Even though it's been raining most of today I've been busy - popped into town this morning to pay some bills then visited my mum this afternoon. Total walking time 90 minutes :)

Look after the foot. Don't attempt to butst the blister. Cover with a dry dressing until healed, but get attention promptly if not ok in a day or two.

As for swimming, don't wait until you lose weight. You will find all shapes and sizes at the swimming pool. I know, I wasted 15 years by not wanting to be seen in a swimsuit. Those who know me in here will be a bit fed up of me yarping on, but for anyone with excess weight, swimming is an excelkent way to exercise without it hurting.

Somewhat crocked today. Carrying forward some of yesterday's activity for the lazy time. Slept a lot, but have pottered about with a bit of housework.

Will do more tomorrow.

Morning exercises, check
Lunch time walk, no chance, work was bonkers.
After dinner walk, double check, did the twin peaks and now kippered.... actually starting a presentation for the bonkers place.
Cracking sunset this evening.... though note to self.... don't look at the sun quite so much....

I've been feeling a bit blech recently - combination of perimenopause and warm weather but I do feel better when I get out for a bit. I had to face the delights of the DSS this afternoon so I got some food shopping on the way back. 40 minutes walking and carrying heavy shopping bags as well - result :)

DSS staff need to realise that most people really want to work if they can and need a lot of support if they can't .

I'm doing a quality improvement course and it's taking up all my spare time . I am moving but the course work is a lot .
I'll get back at it starting today

Morning walk around shopping mall, 20 mins.
Afternoon walk along high street, much more interesting than going in car.
Fitness tracker tells me I have covered 4.52 km today.
Go me!:wacky:

Well done Pipp. If I get the all clear from the hospital tomorrow I'll be out running around my village green (800meters), a few times a week to supplement my gym routine. Will have to start slow, but hopefully build it up so that I can run for 30 mins and cover 5k 3 times a week. We'll see.

Well done @Pipp that's some quality mileage! I went for a wander round town this afternoon despite it being drizzly and clocked up half an hour walking. I also went over to visit my brother who has epilepsy, severe memory loss and learning difficulties. His curtain rail had fallen down so I had to help him put it back up, what else are little sisters for :)

Thanks @KevinPotts . Sorry, but I have missed something,. Hospital and 'all clear' suggests you have been having a tough time.
In view of that, remember this thread is about activity and gentle 'exercise' each considering their ability. So don't go rushing at it. Slow and steady wins the race according to Aesop.

Cheers! It is for me. Will need to lie down for a week.
You do well with your walks, too, @Diamum5972 .

Salutary advice Pipp. It's a cardio check to make sure my ticker is doing it's stuff properly. Will feed back with the results.

Work today but got my steps over 6k by having an evening walk along the beach. Lovely weather.

After dinner went on the exercise bike for 10 mins (to work off the 2 biscuits I had)

Blister was not a problem - love Poundland - their blister plasters are a wonderful thing.

Pottering about the garden, and a bit of moving up and down stairs is about all I can manage today. Will take a short walk this evening when it is a bit cooler.

I've been into town twice today and I'm now regretting it! DS has his drama group tonight so I'm going to make the most of the peace and quiet and watch trashy TV :)

All clear from the doc, miso running is bs k I the agenda, but as Pipp suggested, I'll start gently as Ive not being doing cardio for 8 weeks. They did a new lipids panel and got the results whilst I waited - amazing- 5 weeks ago my triglycerides were 3.6, today 1.5. My Hal was .85 today 2.0, my BP was around 160/95, today 125/73. It's that flipping LCHF diet with intermittent fasting, I so happy.
