How much weight have YOU lost?

I’ve considered intermittent fasting.
Give it a try and let us know how you get on. I do time restricted eating; never have breakfast so average 18 hours between dinner and brunch. I get too hungry for fasting but find delaying when I first eat is quite do-able!

I lost 3.5 stone and am still the same weight just under 10 stone. I can never get any lower but I think its due to the workouts and diet. I am now a triangle shape rather than the hourglass I used to be lol

I've lost about 11 kg this past year; still another couple of kg to go before I am no longer overweight; this morning I was 75.7 kg (I'm 1m72), and I want to get down to 70 kg or below. No hurry, though. This is the third time in my life (I'm now 73) that I've lost significant weight - first in the early 90s when I wanted to give up smoking, and knew that would make me put on weight, so I lost it first! Then I got up to (I think) over 100 kg by 2003, when I was at my fattest ever, and lost about 30 kg or thereabouts over a couple of years in time for my daughter's wedding in 2007. Highest weight this time around was, according to the doctor's scales, about 93 kg? I can't quite remember. Anyway, this last year has been relatively easy, as I went on the Ascend Plus trial and am obviously on oral semaglutide rather than the placebo. And don't have much appetite, and my insides go back on me all too easily!

That's some story. What's the motivation for losing weight this time?
Good luck with your efforts
I wasn't especially motivated - although I do hate being as fat as I was - until the weight started coming off with the tablets! I do like losing weight without having to try too hard; it happened, I seem to remember, when I first left home and had to cook for myself! Mind you, my diet back then was appalling, so let's not go there.... Meanwhile, being lighter is probably better for my diabetes, so I hope to be able to keep it up.

@Mrs Redboots, it’s great you lost weight so easily..

I think my weight loss has been a major contributing factor in my wellbeing. I actually feel really good most days. It’s nice to see my doctors and report that I feel great and have all the energy I need to do anything I want everyday. My body is flexible and strong. I fit into small clothes and tight spaces. Things you never think about until you’re overweight. It gives you a renewed freedom. I wasn’t overweight until adulthood for a few years and still don’t know how it happened. Now, my nutrition and fitness takes top priority.

Once I'd shed my "puppy fat" I was beautifully slim for a decade or so, and then I hit 35 and ka-boom! I sort of expanded in all directions!

It’s amazing how that happens. What was your primary motivating factor or inspiration?

Which time? The first time, when I was about 40, it was because I wanted to give up smoking and knew I'd put on weight when I had (as, indeed, I did!); then ten years or so later I just got fed up with being so fat, and it really didn't help with ice dancing (I was a mediocre ice dancer for about 20 years!); then this time I didn't even try, but once it started happening....

Oh, alright. I love dancing, but can’t on ice. I do workout most days and just started a yoga class.
