I got diagnosed by 21 and have it now for 6 weeks, but my doc told me he never had a patient that handled it so well

That's great, keep it up. You will soon be an expert in food, carbs and how they affect you! Trick is to stay positive as sometimes it can be frustating

Ask to attend a dafne course which will help to teach you about carbs and insulin etc.
