Thank you @kokhongw ! It makes sense and there are ratings on the various types of injectable insulin about their possible propensity to stimulate cell growth.
So glad I chose the better long-acting insulin when I moved to the modern insulins in 1998. And my prescribing doctor provided that advice at the time, unlike some other doctors.
