Insanity work out!

Ok quick update.
Had to do fitness early today due to working shifts.
Weird reading of 21 prior to training so corrected with 2 units of insulin.
After I regained cops sure after 45 min intensity I re tested. Back to 10. Thank god.
Have no idea what happened there.
Feeling good post training. Onto tomorrow. Good luck everyone who is training today.

Easy day today cardio recovery. 30 mins. But there's always a but.

The yoga stretching has crippled me I'd rather be doing the Intense things.

Onto the weekend next week is second fitness test see how it goes.

Sugars stable at 10 could do with coming down a bit but all is good.

Update.

Long day in London show and negotiating public transport was a joy.
Got home just before 2200 and straight in to power cardio resistance. Not something I will do again at 2200 it was hard going performance not so good but sugars being up and down all day are now balanced. [OK HAND SIGN].
It's all going well no hypos yet but I'm probably speaking too soon. Sugars at 8.9. I'm happy with that.
Carbs now banana to ward off hypo.
Catch you all soon.

Pure cardio and pure abs. OMG.
Sugars 9.8 starting down to 4.2 post. Little on low side but the workout was intense. Ouch. Could not do the entire abs workout without stopping.
Feeling good considering it's been a busy week.

Re: Insanity work out!

intense exercise just before bed stops me having a restful night or getting to sleep at all, i make sure i dont do too much after say 8 or 9 at night which is a pain if i have a late one at work but at least i sleep

Re: Insanity work out!

looks like super circuits , best of luck with it , I will read with interest how you do , I have shed over a stone and a half since sept the 30th with diet and the gym , an aerobic work out every second day for at least an hour , cycle , treadmill , Nordic ski hell machine , all the best HBD

It's over.
Sugars 12 before 10 after with 60 gram carb drink to prevent hypo.
Although I don't feel fitter I am managing to complete each set of exercise with one stop to catch my breath. Recovery is quick too I'm amazed. And surprised if I'm honest.
Feeling good but also concerned I'm getting obsessive and hooked. My wife will not be pleased and the kids even less pleased as I hoggggg the tv.

Onthegow,

Congratulations on your progress of insanity, I'm looking to start the regime, however I've been looking for a little bit more information regarding the regime, I'm also wondering about the meal plan too, would you be able to help me with some information? I noticed you've been doing insanity and a few people have said to look out for your posts so thought I'd just go for it and ask you a few questions, sorry to have babbled on.. /:

Best wishes

Hi Kerry.

No worries ask away.
I have been doing it now for 15 days.
It is very intense for first week while your body gets use to it. Hang in there.
Food.
Well I'm not the best at meals although the pack comes with the meal book which can be useful.
I am eating around 3500 to 4000 cals per day I can't believe it and I'm still hungry.
What I did the first week was set my sugars high and observed what happened after each session. I also had a carb drink 500mm bottle and a bottle of water. The carb drink defo stops me going low my sugars have Ben fine no hypo. I also have sugar dextrose sweets and on some of the days I have one or two just to get me through. I don't eat before but have my meal directly afterwards.
Ask any question you want I'll try to answer.

Pure cardio and cardio abs
My god my abs are killing me like no said feels like I've been in a car crash. And I still have next level up to do next month. !!
Strange readings my sugars before 11 after 14. I had my usual 35g carb drink which prevents hypo. Must be fighting man flu but diabetes has strange effect on levels as I have come to understand.
Anyway feeling good going to eat eggs for lunch need the protein.
Catch you all soon.

Quick note. Just caught a reflection in the mirror. There is a definite change in my overall body tone!!
My abs are looking good but the biggest change is in the waist smaller jeans won't be so tight.
My legs are pow!!!! The definition must be all that bouncing about on cardio training. Need fuel now so off to refill ready for work full on day but looking forward to tomorrow's input it's a strange obsession hurts like crazy but I'm enjoying it. Lol
If people are reading this pop me a line I think next months going to be a challenge so encouragement would be welcomed

Thank you so much onthegow! :) I'm gonna go for it I need to drop two dress sizes, If you don't mind me asking what sort of results have you got from doing the 15 days? Have you just gained muscle? And I'm assuming your fitness is better? Sorry in advance.. Thanks for answering my questions! :) also do you count carbs as well as calories or just calories?

Many thanks

Kerry xx

Hi Kerry

I count carbs not interested in cals only count just to check. I am very keen on making sure my carbs are sorted. The cals just burn away unbelievable.
Results reduction in waist everything tighter. I have not gained much size more tone.
Don't worry about asking questions.
I was not very fit when I started but my cardio and recovery is well. I now have a 6-8 pack developing.
