Another thing. ...not sure if anyone here can help. ..do I have to have a review at my drs regarding my diabetes? I know that I need my hba etc checked but honestly, its a waste of time. If I have problems or questions, I go to the diabetic centre at Kettering hospital. They have community nurses I see also. I assumed that as it is my condition, surely who I see is up to me? Btw, I have always controlled it well, am waiting for daphne course and am hoping to discuss pump therapy tomorrow. Ive never abused my health so im not refusing treatment, I just thought I could choose which was right for me.
I have said this to my gp surgery but was told that because they issue my script they have to do reviews as well as my diabetes teamAnother thing. ...not sure if anyone here can help. ..do I have to have a review at my drs regarding my diabetes? That all depends on the gp surgery as I said in last post it's a waste of time and money but gp' shave the power to make life as difficult as possibleAs your already under the care of your hospital clinic I don't think you need to have your diabetes review at your Dr's. you might need to go there to have your bloods taken by a nurse which will be sent over to the hospital for your review but that's about it.
I have my diabetes review under the hospital diabetes clinic, as said I get bloods done the week before my appointment by which time they are ready for when I see the consultant, my gp surgery would like me to have my review with them but I prefer to have it done at the hospital.
l would speak to a paper while l hate the media and politicians l would make use of at least 1 ring your local mp tomorrow may just be a lackey on but diabetes is big news at the moment.
