Sporty Forty.e t

I almost forgot to say....I walked for 45 minutes and did my physio exercises (yuck) and tried again to do the exercises on Dillinger's thread too. So I have been a good girl and have done my homework for today, almost forgot to hand it in though.

I haven't done any exercise today per se. However, I've been on the school trip and been on the go all day. A twenty minute walk, round trip from and to the bus plus walking around from 10am until 2m. I think I've done the equivalent of my usual 40/50 minutes.
Absolutely shattered so going to bed. Night all.

Wow, time off for good behaviour @peacetrain . Don't envy you today. In this heat with kiddies. Tired just thinking about it.

I have walked this morning in two stints with a rest in the middle. That was 25 mins walking. Have done 10 mins physio exercise. So owe 5 mins. Will wait till it is cooler tonight and finish the day with at least 15 mins Pilates.

Yes, the only time they ever got me on a horse. I was not amused. I'll find another pic soon I'm getting bored with this one already.
No zand. That is so cute! Is that your happy face?

A 1-minute plank, 40 minutes walking and 10 on the rower today.

Can I ask for ideas?
I want to vary the exercise I do. I am a bit limited. Generally housebound if I am unable to drive somewhere. Can't always drive due to medication for severe allergies, can't use public transport so need something I am able to do at home. Nightie dancing I have tried, I try to walk but not able to do that for long or far. (Have wheelchair, wonderful NHS issue that failed to take into account my spinal injury is to my neck, therefore not able to propel the wheelchair - you couldn't make it up).

So has anyone tried a body blade? What about Wii fit? Has anyone used them? Anything to give me a cardio workout. Not able to use treadmill or cycle. Just need some variety. As much as I love the swimming pool I can't always get there, and I worry about boring you with my similar posts. I need a new challenge, but it has to be one I can achieve, at home.
Thanks chums
Pipp

Couple of good stomps and a swim today.
We've got some great thunderstorms going on around us. I've just been running around the garden like an idiot checking out the clouds!:D
We'll have to have a think for you @Pipp - swimming is a really good form of exercise because it's a workout without jolting the body. Star jumps in the shower just won't compare.;)

@Pipp Don't worry about boring us, you never have yet. But I will have a think about new challenges for you too.

Just had a thought. What if I got some of my larger friends together, (BMI 30+) then went to NHS to ask if instead of the £15,000 each for bariatric surgery they fund a swimming pool in my garden.

No? Ah well, think again, Pipp

Pipp,
I just had a thought. Have you approached your doctor/healthcare advisors etc about finding a qualified personal trainer who could give you some helpful advice and see if someone could do a home visit? It's just that with having had a spinal injury I would hope that you could get some input from someone who can ensure you're getting a good workout whilst protecting any vulnerable areas.
Hey - you may get lucky and win yourself a gorgeous hunk of a guy. I can see your new thread now - 'Willowy in one hour!':joyful:
