Step into Spring

I will do better tomorrow.
Or maybe will be guilty enough before today is done to get moving.

Does the action of putting my feet up count?

Oh i forgot, last night there was some definite aerobic antics with the wii. I play tennis alot better on there than in real life.

We often start the year with a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth, even though today the weather was dreadful and we just managed a 15 minute walk out to the shelter where our adopted donkey lives (Teddy, he's blind from birth and lives with a group of other blind donkeys and a few sighted ones who help them out).

This is inside the main barn (there are a couple of hundred donkeys here altogether).

So it's back to the rowing machine later with weather like this!

Well done anyone who braved the outdoors at all today. As I said on FB, if it doesn't stop blowing a gale here, I'm going to need a wee dog and some ruby slippers.

So 45 minutes on bike ( 15 and 30 ) and bit of pantry tidying. Threw out all the bags of out of date flour and bread mixes!

I didn't manage any exercise today as travelling back from a wedding. I'm afraid my exercise will be taking down a Christmas tree. I will do better. honest. :(

I had a very windy walk with the dog today. I had intended to use the cross trainer but somehow didn't get round to it and now I am in my PJs watching TV I don't think it will happen...tomorrow!

Two brisk walks for me today, one for 25 minutes and one for 30 minutes in very windy Hampshire :(

Well really @mo53. You shame me into doing housework, then you have time off.

However, I thank you. My shame made me go and clean some windows. Ok, inside windows, but a lot of glas. I wiped paintwork and used the vacuum cleaner too. In short bursts of energy, lots of little rests, but a total of 50 mins activity. That is activity I would not usually have bothered with on a bank holiday.

When I did my XPert diabetese course they told us not to think "exercise" but ACTIVITY as not everyone can exercise. Tomorrow I will be changing beds, cleaning the bathroom and walking the supermarket if I have time I will take down the Xmas tree. I reckon those activities will be as healthy as a brisk walk and will do me as much good. So don't feel bad if you can't join in as long a you are active for a while every day. Good luck to those of you EXERCISING though.w

This is so right.

Maybe we should be thinking more of additional activity rather than exercise. I guess when I get back into my swim routine I need to be putting in swimming plus some other 30 mins worth of activity. Otherwise I will not be increasing fitness.

I will try not to deceive though.

I mean, tomorrow I will be taking down the Christmas tree too. That sounds like strenuous activity, but it is a 30cm artificial tree that will take all of 30 seconds to dismantle.

Lovely creatures.

Oh no, today is the start. Any chance of one of @zand's skive days for me? I didn't get to sleep until after 4am.
Nooooooooo!!!! At least you're in the cool and you can go any time ... If I don't get up early and go, forget it, it's too darn hot. See, always some poor sod worse off than you :-)

Did my 30 mins walk this morning in the Blue Mountains, been 'glamping' all week. Tonight I will be sleeping in our nice king size bed as opposed to a single mattress on the floor ... only downside is I will have to listen to Mr T's snoring machine. Oh well ...

Two weeks tomorrow to my nephew's wedding ... some very drastic action needed if I'm to get into the dress I'm planning on wearing :-( Wonder if anyone would notice if I wore the same one I wore to his first wedding??!! Could probably get away with the shoes and bag :-)

Has anyone bought one of the gel covers they sell for the numb bum machine? Just wanted to know if they worked .
