breakfast: fasting
lunch: mushroom and cheese omelette with broccoli
dinner: lamb steak with steamed broccoli and cabbage
30g Montezumas 100% Absolute Black chocolate (OMG - yum!), 100g full fsat Greek yoghurt with pumpkin seeds

Pre-prandial (evening meal) 6.1. Post prandial 7.2

Happy enough with that :cat:

breakfast: egg, bacon and tomato
lunch: 2 slices of beef and lamb (don't like to eat like this but I was at work and there was no time to sit and have a proper meal)
mid afternoon: 33g montezumas 100% Absolute Black Chocolate, coffee with double cream
Dinner: steamed cabbage, broccoli and courgettes (making up for the lack of vegetables at lunch!)

Pre-prandial (evening meal) 5.9, Post prandial, 7.7

Tomorrow will be a better day.

- Triglycerides 0.5 [very pleased as not a fasting reading]
BMI 22.7

All the rest absolutely fine.

GP (the practice diabetic specialist), suggested that I might try coming off my meds. Seemed surprised that I hadn't been on any diabetes meds for 2 years and hadn't been taking BP meds for over a year. We disagreed last year when I suggested that with a BP of 112/60 I didn't need BP meds so I stopped taking them.
All done with a pretty normal diet and some exercise. I am careful with carbs (average of about 170g / day) and have always avoided processed food (even making my own bread & pasta) but otherwise think that I eat normally.

Yesterday i reduced my metformin from 500.× 2 per day to just one due to severe nausea. Nausea is reduced and feeling clear headed.. glad about that.. but worried about fasting numbers creeping up... not sure what to do..

breakfast: 30g double cream in coffee
lunch: cockles, almonds, red pepper celery and tomatoes
through day: 60g semi skimmed milk in coffee, 30g double cream in coffee
dinner: cheese salad (so much cheese!)
later on: yoghurt and strawberries

Metformin down to 1 x 500 per day on advice of DN.
