    5.6 this morning at 6:30. And 5.9 last night. If my memory is right this is the lowest fasting number since my diagnosis.

    Last night’s dinner was a tiny chappati with spicy roasted eggplant (baingan bhartaa) and a salad. I had some nuts later as a snack before bedtime

    Happy weekend everyone.

    This is really messed up.Can barely rise to stand with cane.Had to go to the really big guns,soma plus oxycodone every 6 hrs,Im a total zombie mush brain but I can stand.Slept 6 hrs,thats huge.All i can do is meds and wait to resolve,BTDT,have several t-shirts.One hand,1 finger typing,this is so screwed up.

    Listening to classic audiobooks on youtube......starship troopers,around the world in 80 days,I can sort of follow them,videos out of the question,cant concentrate enough.

    Other foods until.....
    2200-Grapefruit
    0300-Steak and asparagus with butter
    0330-Ate a pint of cornuts-yes,this is really messed up.Almost done with them,wont buy more,get pork scratchings instead for non cooked foods.
    1600-12.5 hrs fast.1 boiled egg,1 radish while lying on floor.Dogs sympathetic,good doggies.
    1830-Cauliflower and green beans with butter,reallly good pork chop with fat.
    2330-piece of milk chocolate

    0615-6.75 hr fast-FBG-5

    Will have breakfast when wife gets around to it,no way can I stand long enough to fry an egg and sausage.
    Surprised sugars being reasonable.Broke through that 214 lb barrier I was stuck at,213.2 lbs.
    Weather 75F.Clear and sunny.Garden looking really well,early plantings doing fine which is big deal in mountain high altitude,shady trees,short growing season.Still have to move 17 pots from greenhouse,if any strong neighbor kids walk by will hire out that job.They weigh about 40 lbs.

    Hope today is wonderful for all.

    FBG at 0805 was 4.9, food yesterday was;

    Breakfast: scrambled eggs and sausages w/tabasco sauce, black tea, 500 mg metformin
    Lunch: zero, Nestea diet iced tea
    Dinner: salmon salad w/green onion sandwiches (one with slice of whole wheat bread and one on lettuce), green salad, glass of red wine, forgot to take metformin
    Snack: 2 glasses of Kirkland brand (Costco) spiced rum w/Angostura bitters and diet Pepsi, puffed pork rinds (cracklings)

    Temp here at 0840 16C and skies hazy but clearer than yesterday, fires up north still out of control. More baseball ferrying duties today, more Land Rover engine research and installing extra garage shop lights...

    5.8 last night
    5.8 this morning

    Am happy. It was fish for dinner last night which was a bit too salty - my mistake - but potatoes were under salted (not my mistake). So it was all ok. Monday - back to the grind. I am not terribly excited about it. But it is Ramadhan week and a real short week at work. Have a great week everyone.

    Monday June 3
    FBG at 0800 was 5.5 (7 hours fasting), food yesterday was;

    Breakfast: blueberries 1/2 cup, black tea, 500 mg metformin
    Lunch: salmon salad sandwich using 1 piece of whole wheat bread, Nestea diet iced tea, 4 dried apricots
    Dinner: Large bowl of shrimp wonton soup, glass of tequila w/water, glass of red wine, 500 mg metformin
    Snack: glass of sake
    Late late snack: 2 large tablespoons of Breyer's butterscotch ripple ice cream

    Temp here 17C at 0840, skies hazy, fires still burning up north. Succumbed to temptation about 0100 (woke up feeling thirsty) and had 2 tablespoons of real ice cream, but did wash it down with a very large glass of delicious tap water. Starting in on disassembling Land Rover in expectation of a rebuild, not quite sure of what my course of final action will be...
