Thank You @Bulkbiker

I understand Mark is no longer around. Pity as he helped hundreds of people to get off and stay off meds as a T2.
Just thought I should formally record my thanks to him. A complete inspiration - he helped save my life.
I want to add my heartfelt thanks to @bulkbiker too. Absolutely gutted to see he has been totally banned from the forum after all the years he has given so much of his valuable time up to help others.

I will forever be in his debt. When I was dx t2d and feeling lost, worried, distraught etc I stumbled across DCUK. I found @bulkbiker - a forum member who shared so much important information, his time, expertise and guidance - from listening to him I put my t2d into reverse within days. That was over 5 years ago. Still in remission today. And his knowledge on cholesterol is undoubtedly better than most doctors! Thanks to bulkbiker for opening my eyes. Gone from the forum but NEVER forgotten.

I’m so sorry to hear this @bulkbiker.
We started our journeys together and I learnt such a lot from you. You introduced me to Dr J Fung and I appreciated your personal reports on fasting and your blog.
I was happy when your type 2 went into recession, it meant so much to me., and your knowledge on cholesterol taught me a lot.

I hope you are able to read this thread.
I have to say I am disappointed in DCUK, if they initiated your “banning”

I would also like to add my personal thanks to you.

When I joined the forum you were already in remission and were one of the first to help me.

As I began to familiarise myself with the forum you quickly became one of the voices I most trusted as your posts demonstrated a lot of knowledge and gave so much practical advice from your own experience.

Like @Speedbird I particularly valued your knowledge and support around fasting and will be forever grateful to you.

You’ll definitely be missed!

We arrived and were "sorted" before Bulkbiker was on the scene, but, all the same, I have always appreciated his presence here and comments. I find it hard to believe that, after all he has done and how carefully worded much of his advice was, that one thing or a brief episode the night before last could lead to an immediate ban. Have I missed something? Perhaps we could be told.

@bulkbiker another huge thank you from me too you've been personally so so helpful to me especially as although I put my type 2 in remission and lost all my excess weight I'm one whose LDL cholesterol levels went up and continue to remain elevated. Information and support on so many things including advice about having a calcium score to check out my real heart health rather than the NHS prediction based on my LDL age etc. Not sure what I would have done without your advice when I was in panic mode thank you so much and do hope that you read this thread and that this situation can be resolved to allow you to continue giving what I among many consider excellent advice thank you

Hi everybody.

A polite reminder to all.

Moderator decisions on individuals are not discussed regarding other members.
The open forum is not the appropriate place.

The forum ethos rules are pretty clear. D2 “Any complaints or queries about the forum must be directed via email to [email protected] - any threads or posts of such a nature are subject to be closed and/or deleted without warning or explanation”

Found here. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/community-ethos-forum-rules.50278/

Best wishes, (on behalf of the mod & admin team.)

Wow!
just to say, I too will miss @bulkbiker. I had always thought that his advice was very clear and he always backed it up! His was a clear voice in the wilderness of confusion, when posters needed help. Knowledgeable and helpful. Gonna miss you bud!

And it is great to hear from some of the stalwarts from the forums old hands in support for someone who has done so much on the forum.

Only just read that he has gone. Though he has been posting in the 'blue Forum' for some time - so I guess he was having problems in here for a while.
I don't always agree with him, but he certainly was a great source of information about health matters that concern me.

Yet another that feels this will be a huge loss to the forum as he was also one of the first to help me along when he landed here newly diagnosed. Hoping he is viewing these messages as a guest and realising how much of a difference he made. We didn’t agree on everything but most of his posting made a lot of sense and were well evidenced. No idea what happened but it’s a shame it came to this.
