This food is low carb, highly nutritional with many health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants, may reduce cancer risk, boosts immunity,manages/ lowers blood sugar, supports digestive health, is heart friendly, aids hydration and detoxification has anti inflammatory qualities, has vitamin c,B6, K,riboflavin niacin folate as well as potassium calcium magnesium phosphorus copper and manganese. It’s cheap as chips and found everywhere. But wait, there more it has glucosinolate and isiocyanate and the enzyme Q10 which is thought to block diabetes in animals. It helps liver function, has the anti fungal proteinRsAFP2,and the leaves help prevent constipation.

Luckily you don’t have to take my word for this - I was doing a search for a vegetable that might be a bit like roast potato (kohl rabi and celeriac are not bad,) and up pops RADISH specifically Daikon which looks like a dense white cucumber. I used to love sliced red radish on toast for brekkie.

I found this article Radish: Health Benefits Nutrition and Uses. By Katherine Whitbourne
It’s on Web Md and was reviewed by a doctor.

Pretty good!

I used to grow 'long white icicle' radishes in the deep rich soil of a floodplain. It was truly astonishing. I offered a few to the greengrocer next door and he laughed at the idea of selling radish by weight. They look like parsnips and are very easy to grow if you have deep topsoil.

I often use radish - it roasts well and it's good to add to mix of roast veggies rather than just using it as just a salad ingredient.

Radish is vile. The taste is worse than sprouts. And to me that's really, really bad.

Seriously as the saying goes one man's poison, is another man's elixir.
Super foods are a myth.
People can tolerate certain foods, some can't.
That is life.
And there are some you won't know are.

Best wishes.

I’m definitely in the radishes are wonderful camp. I have them in my flower beds . I like the small traditional ‘English’ radishes as well as the Daikon radishes. Thanks for the post @Amos1947

You made me smile with your radish adjective @Lamont D . I feel the same about cauliflower I don’t like the flavour , I tried but no, unless they are pickled . Oh and Celery is vile in my opinion , not that we are discussing those two veggies.
