Afternoon.

Well after New Years has been and gone off looking for Creme Eggs and Hot Cross buns, hopefully with cinnamon on them, might cure me...............again.

Toodle Pip.

I'm kind of wondering what a standard trip out "shopping" for the PTs is like...?

Please don't tell me the folk in your neck of the waters need an armed escort.. ;)

Have you get webcams set up round our way as that media clip looks suspiciously like our usual trip to Tescos.

Afternoon me hearties!

All things going to pot, mainly because already partly bladdered and 2.5 sheets to the wind.

All the best for New Years Eve as we slide out of this decade like a large pile of do do and crash on in to 2020 :bag::joyful:

Hello friends,
I am sort of alive, BG running okay and I’m okay with being between 10-12mmol during work. I didn’t spike eating macdonalds yesterday so that to me is a win. :)
Happy new year to everyone, unfortunately I’m working this New Years. But my resolutions are: to try and be more fit and active, less hypos for year 2020 and I hope things will get better with employment for my bf and myself, and that what we are going through is a temporary issue. Moreover, to continue my therapist’s advice into year 2020 so I can go to university for my final year without the thoughts from the past. Enjoy an extra glass of champagne for me!

Hello friends,

Quite a late new year’s drinks last night but ended up me being sky high this morning for wine and G&T so I’m waiting for it to come back down. The last few months, I’ve had really bad hay fever, but winter has no pollen so I don’t know what’s irritating my nose, it’s blocked and I’m sneezing everywhere I go. I have a chest cough and I go to work with a leaky nose :( Hayfever tablets again, doesn’t seem to do its magic despite me taking them everyday since summer.

Hi,

Oddly I had a drippy nose a few weeks ago (I don't suffer hay fever.) thought I was coming down with something?
Cleared up in 36/48 hours..

The girl down't local shop was stood there the week before Chrismas holding back a "snail trail." I gave her the same advice as she was gurning back a gusher. 2 days later she had regained her composure..

Hope this helps!

Happy New Year! Am still not back on the wagon (another thread) but am determined to not worry and enjoy life. Seeing how people who have had this disease for donkeys years, with old fashioned non technology (another thread) survived, and are still fit and healthy, a few readings above the ideal are not going to have me in panic mode. Truth to tell I’m enjoying saying .... it, as I drink this glass of Prosecco. Back to normal next week-honest! Erm.. am out to friends to lunch on Thursday though so let’s say a week on Monday.

I haven’t found a solution to my blocked nose and sneezing, it’s definitely not a cold or a flu. Does anyone know if I can stick my new Dexcom sensor on now? It’s ending tomorrow during work and I don’t think I can take time out to fiddle around with it.

I forgot to mention that my silly self didn’t order insulin vials but insulin cartridges. I think insulin pump therapy hasn’t quite sunk in yet. I guess it won’t be too bad because I’ll need back up but at the same time, I need insulin vials for my first session.

Would it be bad to put in another prescription for different test strips, insulin vials and lancets? I put in my usual stuff a week ago. I don’t really want my GP breathing down my neck like “why are you ordering more?!”

You can fill a pump using cartridges, I often do with stuff that’s approaching it’s date in my fridge.

Yeah, I put mine on the day before to give it time to soak. You can either stop the current when when it’s convenient, or when it expires, leave it fifteen minutes before popping the transmitter onto the new one, otherwise it’ll think you’re trying to restart the old one and you’ve wasted the new one.

Happy New Year, lovely people of this thread.

Been having a quiet few days before the chaos of next week descends upon me. I possibly should do the tax return today, but don't particularly want to. It's not complicated, I have everything ready to go, but... yeah, it's still holiday time for me and I've used up enough of it on organist related work, so I'm not going to do any more of it!

I'm meeting a friend later on and have one or two shopping errands to attend to on the way so that will do nicely for today's activities.

@MeiChanski I seem to have an intermittent dust intolerance - so when I start cold-like symptoms of the sneezy/runny nose variety which is not a cold, especially if this is worse in my bedroom, it's time for a good deep clean of the place and to get rid of the hidden dust! Duvet and pillows washing also take place then.
