Maybe your super, high powered auto immune system is demonstrating it does not like insulin beta cells AND now has exerted it’s powers to defeat CGM too. Maybe... :nailbiting:

    That’s scary powerful

Our roof is also leaking, not pouring in but clearly damp. This the season...
On a positive I have the plumber booked to replace the leaky radiator in the living room.
    Cars seem to be working.
Had salmon and green beans for lunch.

Nope. Had to pop another one on! Will call Abbott on Monday.
    Will see you there!
Hehehe. My immune system definitely hates me if it’s made me allergic to bacon and cheese... but the new one seems to be working ok.
Quite bendy. I think it’s the sheath of the filament that sits inside the sensor, once I’d taken it off I could push it all back through. Quite interesting really, lucky I had a spare! Rang the pharmacy, and they’re going to put in an emergency prescription for me on Monday.

Last year mine developed a serous issues with neosporin ointment while trying to heal some road rash. I thought neosporin was completely inert.

@mahola don’t take anything in this forum to heart, unless it’s in this thread then you can retaliate with both barrels :D

    Shrug and move on.

2 meetings last week, one involving a 2 km walk to and fro the bus. Aching joints and muscles ever since and upped insulin bolus and basal by 20% to keep BSLs decent. Just feeling off with no specific other symptoms except some dizziness.
But the weather is hot and maybe I got dehydrated despite taking in lots of fluid?
Or maybe the food at the meetings luncheons upset the applecart in some way??
Feel like a spaced out penguin !!

Better BSLs this evening. Have changed cartridge, tubing and needle/cannula. As @Jollymon said in the Insulin Pump forum -Trouble with needle ports thread, may be the metal cannula gets pushed into the layer between subcutaneous tissue and muscle and the flow of insulin is compromised even when the metal cannula lifts up again.
Just as a thought. I wonder what would happen if I injected some air partway into inserting the metal cannula so that there was a sort of buffer of air. Withdraw the cannula, fill the new tubing as usual with insulin, re-insert the cannula but to the full 6 mm etc. and hope the air bubble keeps the cannula tip clear of the tissue overlaying the muscle.
The trouble is that I do not know how long the air bubble in the subcutaneous area would stay for and an imaging doctor once told me that air under the skin it often assumed to be due to infection caused by gas-forming organisms - not a cheery thing to have, so one would need to be careful to state the cause of any air detected. Something to think over in the quest for better performance of the pump needle/cannula devices.

"He who makes a beast of himself relieves the pain of being a man"
Think "she/herself/woman" need including here but morning all,
Yesterday, I made a beast of myself, drank mulled wine, ate sprats in breadcrumbs with slices of bread and I'm 4.9 this morning!!
