Things aren’t looking great. My bf may or may not lose his job. If he does, I’ll lose my job and we’ll have to move back home so we won’t be together.
I’m in the process of looking for another job but I don’t know if two jobs will be able to support where we are living. Especially hospitality jobs aren’t 100% stable.

@MeiChanski your manager has treated you appallingly and you would probably have grounds for discrimination and, if you do leave, constructive dismissal - however I will caveat that in that I do not know an awful lot about employment law just how to be what I hope is a good manager.

I feel if I complained to HR, it’ll be my manager’s words against mine. I might lose my job because they can replace me anytime. Unfortunately since last week, I feel my manager doesn’t care about my well being.

If I find another 28 hours job, I think I can support my bf and myself without having to give up this house. But I’m risking my well being and sanity. (It’ll be like 60-65hrs) I did the maths and it will most definitely cover rent, bills and food. Unfortunately I promised university that I will do the coursework to pass. So I don’t know how it will work out.

Mei - I don't know when your Uni work is due, but if you do need to find a second job, then it may not have to be for too long. I imagine your boyfriend would also be looking for work at the same time?

In reality, if it came to that, it might just be for a handful of weeks?
 
Happy grey morning everyone. I’m slow getting going today, got caught by a book I was reading in bed last night and when I lifted my head to look at the time it was 01.16. Ah well, there are some benefits to being older - I don’t have to leap out of bed and get to work.
I made a daft mistake yesterday which seems to have been a happy accident. I put in half the basal instead of the bolus as a supper jab. Bolus was added as soon as I’d finished the stock of moderateable words, and the other half of the basal at the right time. Bloods have been good, a lovely even run . Should I repeat the experiment? May do, but I’ll not institute it for the whole 24 hours as it’d mean an unhealthy early hours waking for the basal. I need sleep. We all need sleep.
 
Moaning all.....dull and overcast today.....the weather isnt too bad either.
Mei, working 60 hrs plus a week is VERY difficult....get your bf off his backside an get him looking for a job if he wants to keep the house!!!!

If I’m not mistaken, possibly be for April. That’s only if the outcome is bad on Friday. If outcome is good, I can continue with how I am working. So I’m praying my boyfriend won’t lose his job.

If it came to that, we wouldn’t have any money for January and we would have to move out by February. If I find a job soon which I doubt it would happen, we can possibly get by. Jobs that my boyfriend looks for could take weeks or months because of interviews etc.

Diabetes not bad, 9.2 again after a hypo last night. Boyfriend wants to take me out for lunch today despite we both feeling the pressure and money woes. I think it’s because I have a day off and I did say with tears in my eyes in the car as he was taking me to work, that we would go our separate ways if the outcome is bad. So he just wants to make most of the time that we have.
 
Afternoon guys, I have had a few river deep & mountain highs, but managed a 6.1 before lunch.
Changed my Libre from right arm to a new one on the left arm. Left arm feel tingly and the right arm has a 2 p size red mark, no idea what is going on though.
School run soon and the children did like Twas the night before Christmas,, but..........one of the children interrupted me regarding Father Christmas being a big, fat jolly fellow, with a belly that wobbles like a bowlful of jelly etc, it's discrimination. So, when I finished, I did explain the poem was written a very long time ago, well over a hundred years, so if it was written today the wording would be different, but he was actually listening to it and taking it all in, I was chuffed that he did and had questions about it too.
 
I got a last minute call from a manager from a coffee place that is 5 mins away from the restaurant. I got an interview at 17:00, reckon I can win this without makeup? I’m out with my boyfriend, makeupless and messy hair

Hello again, food was good, mostly had seafood tonight. I think I’m craving seafood, like prawns and white fish. I had seabass tonight and it hit the spot. I had the last minute interview in my Mr lazy top, not ideal but I think I landed a second job and I start tomorrow. Here’s to my sanity, sleep and my day offs. My day offs are covered by another job. I’m Italian during the day and Thai during the night. But at least they have plant milks for coffees. Thai place only serve americanos to vegans.

I am partially happy because I’m doing everything I can to stay in this house. I’m getting better diabetes care and mental health care here too, so I will not give that up.
