Type 2 Life

Quite pleased this morning - 7.0 even after yesterday's pub lunch :) I'm off into town with DS later, he doesn't have college on Thursday or Friday and he got his DLA yesterday. Our HMV is having a relocation sale so bargains galore!

Late today.... thursday's different, in that it's the closest we have to a "normal" day. My wife leaves the house at 07:30 and taxi picks up Euan for college at 08:10 and I get to work at 08:30... and so I get home at a regular time,, 17:30, have a cup of tea with my wife and prepare tea for a 19:15 start.
5.2 am
Cheese, olives, and celery for breakfast
Feta, celery, olives, polish sausage, avocado, garlic and some humus for lunch
4.7 pre
Rump steak in cream and Gorgonzola cheese, fried leaks and salad with glass of red wine
5.2 post
did some work on a VBA project, teach myself VBA...

Soap: what do you use to wash your hands. We have some liquid soap and a bar and I swear I get bigger numbers with the liquid... and I rinse in hands for Scotland
FIngers: why are the side of my fingers more sensitive than the tips?.... sore or what!

Night to all here, hope you sleep is sound, deep and uninterrupted.

Hope everyone has a good day, I will rest this morning then having visit from oldest son this afternoon. I think he'll have to make his own dinner! I'm sneezing + coughing and feel weak as a baby! Will read and nap this morning I think - lovely! Hope everyone else feels okay today

@13lizanne I hope you feel better soon, it's no fun when a cold drags on and on. My nose and ears are still blocked up so I'm going to get out the Olbas oil and see if it makes a difference. Enjoy your son's visit, does he live far away?

@Diamum5972 Thanks my friend, I've just had a nice nap and feeling a bit more human :) I've got a cheek complaining when I think of others on this forum who live with far worse, I'm just a bit fed up I think. No 1son lives in next village, no 2 son and d-in-law are in Edinburgh 28 miles away and no 3 son is in supported accommodation in Alloa 15 miles away since last year. Will see no 1 today Nos 2+ 3+daughter inlaw on Sat no 1 again on Sunday. Take No 3 out for lunch on Mondays we live mid way between Glasgow + Edinburgh so are handy for them all.

Sounds absolutely fabulous @hankjam hope you both enjoyed it .
I've just realised, as you say, I'm not walking through feeling poorly, that will certainly be affecting my bg levels as I use walking to keep them down. Feel better about the higher readings now. Thanks

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, I've had a nice chillaxed morning knitting and watching DS playing Minecraft. It's my older brother's birthday next week so the whole family are going out for Sunday lunch yum! With my younger brother and son having individual dietary requirements we tend to play mix and match when we go out for a meal :) Luckily older brother is a walking dustbin so he will hoover up all the leftovers lol

Mid march, I'm going to Edinburgh Yarn Festival. I've booked our hotel rooms, now I just need to arrange train tickets and start saving! DS always likes to face the direction we're travelling in because he gets quite travel sick so I'm booking our seats online.

The yarn festival sounds great I love knitting:D. Really wish your cold would disappear lizanne. I was really tired when I got in last night so didn't post but had my tablet antibiotics changed to straight penicillin yesterday and added in antibiotic nebulizer. Steriods are up to 45mg a day so no chance of my sugars behaving even with little carbs:rolleyes:

Morning FBG 6.2

@loulou99782 it must be so frustrating having no control over your BS because of your meds, I really feel for you, I bet you cant wait for summer.
@Diamum5972 the yarn festival sounds great, we dont have anything like that here unfortunately. It sounds like your brothers sunday lunch will be a nice family day out, I hope you thoroughly enjoy it.
@13lizanne it will be great that your older boys are coming to visit, hopefully you will start to feel better soon.
