@ickihun - Thank You very much for pointing that out. I just never thought - my brain is not functioning right.:)

I missed Audrey's story too @liam1955 didn't know that it was on. I'm glad that you feel better now William, you just continue to pamper yourself today. I'm absolutely fine now thanks, I just needed to eat something.
@doolallylady I can't stop thinking about fresh cream doughnuts - and scotch pies!!! I ate an enormous lunch all low carb but I could find room.....

Real Scotch Pies from SCOTLAND I will eat, but the English ones are yuk. And you all must go onto Naturefile and see the beautiful Pink Damselfly that @rodman has taken.:)

I hope you guys are feeling much better. @liam1955 drink plenty and hopefully your body will put itself right. Flush your system. If you can. Get well soon. Vicky :)

Hi everyone, just got back from dentist with DS - he had a filling this time but he's got to go back for an extraction in a couple of months. The offending tooth is right at the back of his mouth so he finds it difficult to reach with his toothbrush. I'm wondering whether to get battery powered toothbrushes for us both, neither of us have very strong teeth and I've heard they are more efficient than manual toothbrushes.

@liam1955 and @13lizanne sorry to hear you've both been unwell, sending you both massive hugs and I hope you both feel better soon xx

Absolutely fine ta @Diamum5972 just needed to eat something, and I'm good at that :) Bet you are glad that today's dental appointment is over. Let us know when the next one comes up so we can all send positive thoughts your lad's way. Your fbg was brilliant today, well done you

Thanks Anna, I was absolutely amazed this morning, I thought I was seeing things! We were both glad that this appointment is over and done with, the next one isn't until June so he can relax a bit. He was perfectly fine afterwards so he even went to his drama group tonight, which I wasn't expecting! I was very glad that I don't get the false hypos any more, I tested myself before we walked home and I was 5.1 - just a few months ago I would have been feeling dizzy, getting the shakes and having a fuzzy head. I felt absolutely fine and a handful of nuts was all I wanted when we got home.

@4ratbags it does sort of prove to me that my diabetes isn't reversed though, I had already realised that the remission/reversal depended on me keeping my weight down and the low carb eating and exercise up but that incident today suggests to me that my diabetes is controlled NOT reversed. What do you think?

@13lizanne I prefer to use the "controlled" terminology. It reminds us that we have to continue with our good management.

Doug

@13lizanne I think controlled is definately a better term. It describes it to a 'T', I have found from previous personal experiences that it is easy to get complacent but there is always our meters which let us know the reality of our decision.

Since joining this great site, I have mainly played the word games, and posted on the new Naturefile Thread, and got to know a lot of lovely people by doing so,
I'm not really the type of person that likes to talk about my illness, but I thought I would post a few lines on here.
About five years ago, I was diagnosed with high BP, and put on tablets, two years ago diagnosed with COPD, put on inhalers, then just over twelve months ago, told I was type 2 diabetic, and controlling it with diet, I'm ok, do everything my doctor & nurses tell me, I've packed up smoking for two years now, exercise, walking & cycling, and try to keep to an healthy diet, it is very hard at time, but as to be done, I read a lot of the threads, and feel that I'm lucky compared to a lot of people, anyway that's me in a nutshell :)

Hi Rodman, welcome to T2L as I like to call it. Well done for giving up smoking, I'm glad to see you're maintaining such a positive outlook.

Thank you @Diamum5972 well like I said, if you follow the advice of the ones that know, hopefully you should be able to live a normal life, minus a few goodies that is, but just have to adjust to it :)

Just to say that I am pleased with my fbs this morning at 8.50am of 5.9:)
Don't know what was wrong yesterday? Must had been a "blip"!!
Had this morning at 10am my Biological Injection (no.11) and I am hoping that will have been the LAST one?? I am seeing the Consultant next week at the Hospital and hope she will prescribe me something else?:) Hi @mo53 How are you today?:)

Had my bloods taken this morning for HbA1c and lipids. Waiting time now but hopefully should be OK. GP is convinced HbA1c should be below 40 from my readings so I'm hoping that is the case. It's just that my figures have been all over the place recently, mostly lower after eating than before which seems strange. Then hopefully I can get some sort of advice about my foot problems that I went to the GP about over a year ago which was when diabetes was diagnosed. Podiatrist just told me I need even tighter control which is why I have continued to work really hard on this.
