Type 2 Life

Thank You @Sable_Janfor your very kind words.:). I should have gone to A & E on the day, but I didn't want to make any fuss. Hope your friend has a speedy recovery too.:) THANK YOU every body for all your kind words:) (can't remember who you are!)
Oh William. Make the fuss next time hun. Even I thought you had mostly aggravated your arthritis by the knock. Are you eating plenty of calcium rich foods? Get well soon.

@maureen5752 just enjoy your stay with your friend, she s right that a few days wont hurt, just get yourself back on track when you get home.
Thanks, I'm actually going for ps port, & visit her son, he's got health problems, he hears voices, my friend is very controlling so not going to be very relaxing at all, just make best of it, nice to see her, her husband died 3 months ago so she's now doing all the travelling shed planned for years, hope your well. @ Liam 1955. Hope you get well soon, know what knee & siaticas like, very painful so get well soon (hugs)

How did my 'Twin' @eddie1968 get on at the Doctors this morning? :) I saw my GP this morning and he was SHOCKED that X Ray allowed me to go home (7days ago) and tell me to see my GP in 7 - 10 days!!!! I have a 'Hairline' Fracture of the Patella (kneecap) and ruptured the Synovial Membrane. I then saw the Practise Nurse and my leg is strapped up, got anti-inflammatory gel to use as often as I want/need, and Furosemide to get rid of the Odema. I mentioned that it is like a 24/7 toothache the pain and night time it just throbs all night !!!! I have to keep the weight of it, elevate my leg as much as I can, and do gentle exercises. About 20 minutes is all I can manage to walk, still cannot bend my knee. Have to go back and see GP in 14 days time.
I am seeing the Rheumatologist on Friday about my Spine Arthritis and have got to mention my Knee.
Oh dear, he was probably shocked because you could have done more damage to your knee in the 7-10 days you had to wait! Let's hope not, but please, William - as Vicky says - make the fuss next time. We don't get handed any medals for treating our health and fitness as a low priority.
Sending big hugs and I hope you get well soon.

Ooh I just realised I've been upgraded on the forum to a Veteran from a Regular. Honestly don't know what I'd do without the amazing support from everyone in this forum - thank you :):)

Was thinking whilst I was out. Try to get thin & crispy if she insists on pizza and mayb just a large fisha and peas instead of chips. I used to get lightly battered but found it was the chips made most difference. Tell her you've gone off chips and you prefer the thin crust pizza.

Gone off cheese !!!!!!! Programme on tv showing you all the cheese mites in cheese!!!!!!! Yak!
Never heard of cheese mites. That not just the Yukky French stuff with disgusting crusts that tastes/smells like sweaty feet is it? And the stomach turning blue stuff

Often have severe pain with an arthritic knee (result of motor cycle accident when I was 22) - it's like meniscus? what meniscus? Slap on that gel and put your leg up in front of the TV and get your other half to wait on you. I find ice packs very helpful. I have ones I put in the freezer and some Koolpaks (I always carry one in my bag) Try and get the swelling down before doing too much and take care of it. It's a nasty injury which can really throw out your back etc. I have even had to resort to crutches on occasion (I have some very cool red and black ninja ones) - I know that seems a bit dramatic for you to use crutches but it will stop you overcompensating for your injured knee and help your back.

You have my heartfelt sympathy, ouch ouch ouch - oh yes, put a pillow or cushion between your knees when you are in bed.

Hope you feel better in the morning.

No it was program on tv called food unwrapped, they actually showed you the mites crawling around in the cheese! Dozens of them it was so creepy!!!! Realy put me of cheese, apparently they are used to mature the cheese, stronger the cheese, more the mites you get!!!!!!!

Wish me luck ladies, I am going in!

Where?

Later this morning I shall attempt the momentous task of painting my toe nails - not been done for many a year .... lush deep turquoise varnish beckons :woot:

Awake at 6am. I'm sure my thyroid is messing me about. I've had my 3 month blood test but awaiting results. Argh!!!
Last one said high but sleeping a lot but disturbed, at mo. Probables messed up. I believe removing it doesn't solve the whole problem, so I've read.
My regular gp is away but I need a chat, me thinks!
Pcos is back with a vengeous too. Oh happy days!
METFORMIN where are you? Specialist had better give me it back, or I will create.

Will you do mine! Ha ha
I would .... a lush pampering evening sounds like a plan in the making
Doing somebody else's nails is easier than doing your own ....

Oh .... are sleeping issues possibly related to thyroid?
My sleeping patterns are totally shot - sometimes I wake up at 2am and am fully awake .....
