Type 2 Life

My regular gp refused me a scan on my pelvis. My dn won't be happy. Me neither. I will call my dn today for advice but seeing practice nurse for a health check next tuesday so I'll be interested to see what she says. Maybe she can plug my gp for me.
I wonder why no scan?
Given more painkillers.
His answer was "you are 10yrs older now" when I asked about why im struggling with my ability now when never had a problem before this past year?
I said "mum has spondolotis so I guess this is what im to expect?" He said "yes".
Also thyroid is to be checked in 6wks time to check if overactive so he can assess how much to reduce since id only had reduced thyroxine for 4 weeks then increased when I had terribly thoughts. So sleep interfered with again. I cannot sleep well on 200mg and last time had palpatations. Great.
I had proposed a 50mg thyroxine tablet instead to resilve but gp wants blood test first in 6wks time on high symptoms. Bgs were higher then too. Humf!
So more painkillers for my liver to process after a dodgy liver last year too.
I'm screaming the answer but hit a brick wall. :(
 
You couldn't make it up
Autoglass replaced my car windscreen in 2014 after it got chipped. Last week a big crack appeared in the windscreen, the crack started under rubber on edge of screen, did Autoglass honour it's life time guarantee for an obviously faulty screen, did it hell, it and I quote is damaged due to "wear and tear", yes people your windscreen can wear out or just fracture due to it being used.
Even the guy fitting new screen agreed it was not due to outside element but head office decided wear and tear.
Now as some of you may know I also have a car that is almost 50 years old, the windscreen appears ok, not worn or torn even though I have looked out of it every time I've driven.
So if you want to keep your windscreen in good order do not ever use it to look out of, do not let, sun, darkness, weather of any kind near your windscreen as it will wear out way to soon. I'm waiting to see if they reply to complaint I have made.

Hes in pain now with his knees. Pacing up and down cause he cant get comfortable. Plus his spine as well.

Poor man. I'm thankful he doesn't have to suffer at work now.
These painkillers only give short reprieve (relief). Bless him. I hope painkillers kick in soon for him. Is he due some?
My co-codamol take the edge off the scatica after constantly popping them and anti-inflammatories have just been delivered so I've taken one which I would have taken this morning.
I've read up on my pain and it sounds like ankylosing spondolitis is the cause. GP not concerned anything else. I hope not cancer in my ovary which is damaged on that side. I'm in hell if he has this wrong.
If these painkillers don't make me fell loads better I'm going for a second opinion. ;) You cannot take risks with your health.
That Panorama programme last night has taught me that.
I bet gps busy after that horror documentary! Very irresponsible on diabetics suffering with depression. I bet they get sued! No support number afterwards I noticed.
 
After replying to @tina_marie I've realised that on these painkillers if any pain elsewhere I won't feel it. Hence won't know if there's another problem? Or am I wrong @maureen5752 ?
Is all these pain killers safe????
I'm not happy with this amount of pain relief this young! :(

Hi Vicky I have to be careful with my pills taking at different times as sends me do lally and completely spaced out may not sound like bad idea but doesn't feel to good .most of my meds are now Max dose and all will be on Max dose in couple weeks when increase my clonazepam again .
Still getting my head around not working any more won't know what to do with myself besides odd jobs around the house I can manage

The neurologist told Ron that with pain in his back there is only one way in and one way out . So you could have pain in one area which could spread to other areas but you wouldn't know if it was coming or going lol.

Any hobbies Ron?
I like swimming but feel unsafe walking pool side. I wouldnt be able to get back up if i slipped. Ha ha
I cried on GP and I pinned him down to my thyroid must be causing problem. Hormonal and cold. I believe when my thyroid isn't medicated properly I acted hormonal like pregnancy on original diagnosis 23yrs ago. I know he's right!
Don't understand why no scan for me thou? He must be confident definitely the sacroiliac joint and sciatica only treatable with painkillers. I wish I understood joints and pains. I have very little knowledge. I know I cannot live like this. I won't be accepting a life on painkillers for something not even investigated. :(

If sciatica is causing discomfort and problems it can be operated on.
 
Some people who ask me what I've done to end up with crutch are telling me someone they know's back pain being very similiar.
So have I got a back problem? Only pelvic problem with trapped nerve or arthritis (ankylosing spondolitis)?
What is my ailment?
I could have told gp my pelvic hurts. So I have a hurt pelvic. Why? I wanted gp to help me answer that. Some gps are strange, I'm looking for a diagnosis as well as help (pain killers).
I'm still a bit bewildered, I guess. I'm not that thick surely?

Yes Vicky I make and sail model boats for my hobby it's very relaxing sat at the lake sailing the boats but problem I have now is lifting them up the heaviest is 14 kilos which is a tug boat that is built to do the job of the full size version for example we regularly do demonstrations at our local canal trust and my tug can pull a 60 foot canal boat my tug is 3 feet in length .
I agree what you say about the pain relief Vicky the tablets I'm on were only supposed to be temporary while they fount what was the source of the pain but still taking them still waiting and now been referred to another hospital so no doubt more waiting
 
Forgot to call diabetic nurse for her opinion. I value her opinion too. I'll be interested to see what practice nurse says next week.
Apparently a new thing at gps now. I have to have an annual health check by nurse. Everyone I guess!?

You need a buddy to help with placing tug in water. Any nephews interested? Or niece? You could teach them what you know. So they can help maintain too?
I've taken 9yr old swimming but weather is changing so unless I find a good hotel pool I'm suspending it til spring. :(

The guys down at the club have offered to help but Ron insists on doing everything himself , even at home when I'm there to help. Like putting his socks on or helping him when hes unsteady on his feet. Mind you having said that my back is niggling . Must be the cold.
 
My other hobby is palm reading Ron. I bet @tina_marie more interested, not many men are interested.
My palm has been showing some course life changes. I'm just hoping not fatal. Maybe this is what it ment, my loss of mobility. I never imaged it could be that for me. I've always worked long hours and since I was 17yr old. Originally was going to be a nurse. Then medical negligence lawyer in the U.S. Motor insurance advisor and import tax administrator in between. Just stopped work recently from being a criminal barrister's administrator due to my partner's illness and 2 young kids. I know how you feel as very unnerving to not have a career or occupation status. I miss not being part of a team but feel I've joined a team here! A different team but a very helpful and supportive one. ;)

No kin I'm afraid just Tina and she only likes the sail boats plus the tug is to heavy for her too

Sorry Vicky but you can't be that good a palm reader if that is what you see what it really shows is the changes ahead are going to be better and a start of a new better life for you and all your kin .
