Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

B - almond milk smoothie with kale and ground flax seeds
S - a small portion of a friend's birthday cake, mixed unsalted nuts
L - tuna salad & coleslaw, 1/2 banana & egg pancake
D - baked chicken, green beans & carrots; small chocolate bar

Ate a ridiculous amount

B: coffee
D: 1.5 glasses of red wine, 1 beer, 1 injera, 0..25 mince curry, lamb curry, lentil curry, salad. Yet to test 2 hours after but does doubt it'll be pretty

hi amgrundy, actually it was a dairy free chocolate bar from Sainsbury's but I felt ill after it as it had too much sugar! I'll be steering clear of it in future and will probably stick to adding a bit of cocoa powder to almond milk for now for a chocolate fix (i try not to buy a large bar of dark chocolate as I don't want to eat the lot), although I am also curious about cacao from the health food shop.

That was a rather long answer - I must be tired - having trouble thinking straight - night.
 
Went totally off the rails yesterday.

B: Leek &Wensleydale Stuffed Mushroom and a fried egg.

L: A bowl of Thai green curry and stir fry veg coconut soup, home made.

D: Ordered in roast duck and pork chow mein with noodles egg fried rice chips and an extra portion of BBQ sauce

FBG this morning was 5.5

Lunch was a 5:2 recipe (baked Eggs and Pea salad for 330 cals)

Dinner was a restaurant treat for my 60th Birthday so duck pate with 2 pieces of bread followed by filet steak, dauphinoise potatoes, roasted tomatos and salad washed down with a glass of merlot. I didn't think I had been too bad but bg 1 hour later was 9.5 dropping to 6.0 after 3 hours.

L - Wagamama's vegetarian curry with brown rice
S - Munchy seeds omega sprinkles
D - to have spinach, avocado, tomato & flagoelet bean salad
 
B the usual Greek yoghurt with raspberries
L cheese and mayo lettuce wrap, bag of pork scratchings yum!
D chicken and mushroom stir fry with red onions, peppers and extra beansprouts

I need all the vitamin C I can get, I've had a horrible cold blech!
 
Quite a lot today
B: two slices of livlong toast with benecol
D: goat chops in a tomato and butter bean sauce with spirallised courgette konjac rice butter harrissa and garlic 35g carbs 810 Cals . Bgl 2 hours after 7.5 which is good for me
 
Spinach, mushroom and leek omlette for a late breakfast. Coffee and plums this afternoon. Turkey curry (low fat, mostly vegetables) with cauliflower rice for dinner tonight and then sugar free jelly for after.
 
20 glasses of tap water.

4 moderately small apples.

2-3 mugs of coffee each with 1 x 5 ml spoonfuls of Red Mountain Coffee granules, 1 x 5 ml spoonfuls of Nido Milk Powder and 2 Silver Spoon O Calories artificial sweeteners.

1 small cup of tea with 1 Tetley teabag and 2 Silver Spoon O Calories artificial sweetener.

3:00 pm:- Several slices of roast chicken flesh, roast chicken crispy skin, 5-6 Iceland frozen roast potatoes, all crispy and a very nice flavour, fresh garden peas (steamed), fresh button sprouts (steamed) and fresh cauliflower florets (steamed) and gravy made with Bisto Gravy Granules, chicken juices and vegetable water from the steamer.

2:20 am on Sunday 27th March, 2016, blood glucose reading:- 7.7 millimoles per litre.

B Dry cured bacon and cheese on half a lidl roll
L 2 rosemary oat crackers with Mediterranean cheese / tomato spread / 1 garlic and parsley crispbread with peanut butter
D Raw oats Turkish greek yogurt mixed nuts and topped with raspberries / 1 teaspoon of no sugar syrup
BG reading 2 hrs after dinner 5.9
 
Ate fair bit or choc yest n payin for it today so back to being good

Brekkie 3x carrs crackers with cheese and onion portion from m&s
Lunch oopsie roll with quorn bacon
Dinner will be chicken salad
 
Breakfast - 120g natural yogurt

Lunch - 400g tin of Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup

Evening Meal - M&S Haddock Mornay with mash and peas followed by a plum
