Oh I didn't know that. I changed my GP because he failed to tell me the results of my blood test for over eighteen months and it went from 80 to 143 during that time. I stuck to Newcastle diet for eight weeks and my new GP sent me for hba1c test when I registered. He thought I was confused when I said that it had been 143 but my records would have been in transit and told me to just carry on with what I had been doing. My cholesterol was 4.1 but he didn't give me any more details and I never heard anything else apart from an appointment for eye screening last March, an appointment for 24hr blood pressure monitoring and now this appointment for another eye screening.@Swiggy if you are T2 you should get a HbA1c test at least every 12 months (NHS guidelines).
I will contact the surgery and ask for the test to be booked.
