Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.2 @ 6.15am

Long shift today, then on holiday for 4 days and wedding number 4, so another trip south!

Hope you are well and the visit to the hospital wasn't an emergency

Thanks @Contralto I'm back home now and am feeling much better, unfortunately it was an emergency, (not diabetes related though), I was taken to Hospital with chest/stomach pain :( , they did loads of tests and kept me in overnight to monitor me, my heart is fine by the look of things :) so the latest thinking seems to be that it was perhaps stomach related, I've been put on omeprazole which I've read can raise the BG for some, and on that note back to topic -

4.9 today :)

12.2 this morning, it was 6.2 last night and on a low carb routine but it takes me until mid afternoon to get my BG below 7. I know I should be on insulin but my hospital nurse said no because my Hba1c was low enough at a 7.5. Hmm what happens when you know more about your condition than the medical staff, who incidentally commented that she had never heard of blood sugar rising after exercise.

Keep a diary so you can show her all your highs. Tell her your concerned about nerve damage if they continue. We are here for you.

Same happened to me. I was put on lansoprozol for mine. I have mild atherosclerosis diagnosed via angiogram by cardiologist.
I'm wondering if low carbing makes us more sensitive to pain.
