Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Since I've been on gliclazide, and by cutting out bread my FBGs have mainly been in the 5s and 6s.

Got my HbA1c result today - 43.

Same as when I was diagnosed 5 years ago and down from 59 in December 2017.

GP rang me to reduce my gliclazide to 40mg due to the risk of hypos.

Hopefully my FBGs will continue to be good.
Hi @James13 Interesting regarding Glicazade, I'm still on my full dose 160gms twice a day with Metformin. I'm on LCHF and my fasting Bg have come right down an are running at 3.5 to 4.5, seven day average is 4.2. Maybe I should cut my Glicazade to be on safe side. I don't see my Dn for another 2 weeks. :)

Hi. I'm not a Doctor so I wouldn't dare advise you on medical matters. Personally I had no hypo issues on 80g of gliclazide but still carried the glucose gel the GP prescribed just in case.
