my HbA1c stays amazingly low , around 24-29 (4.3- 4.8 %) , but my fasting BG is pretty much always in range 6-8 mmol (110-140 mg/dl) unless when i enjoy a nice small bottle of rum which drives my morning after BG below 110. Drives me nuts to have this inconsistency.

18/12/19 male ...late 70's... weight about 70kg...slim !!
Been on metformin for few years..2x500mg....sugars usually around 7.3 fasting...don't seem to get any lower ….I try to keep carbs fairly low each day...possibly well under 80.... and...no added sugar at all to anything... I do have stewed apple after dinner with a little double cream , again, no added sugar...that's all folks !
