Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Hi, I was diagnosed with T2 four weeks ago. I am trying hard to lose weight and change my lifestyle with regular exercise. I've lost 8kgs and am getting 'normal' BG readings of 4.2-4.9 fasting , and 5.0-6.5 post prandial after evening meal. Started on 1 metformin tab, but stopped after two weeks, but now on 2 Metformin tabs as I had an issue with my eyes.

Well, you've made a great start.

Most type 2s here test on waking first thing in the morning. We aim for a fasting blood glucose [FBG] reading in the range 4 to 7 mmol/L; better still, in the 4s and 5s.

WRT weight loss, slow and steady wins the race. Good luck!
