Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Thank you for advice.
I will take in information on Food and Nutrition. I've been sadly lacking with dietary needs in the past, but will adjust.
Diabetes is a very individual disorder. You’ll learn most from testing blood glucose levels just before you start a meal and then two hours later. Ideally. the post-meal reading should be no more than 2 mmol/l higher than the first and no higher than 8 mmol/l.

If that's the case, your body dealt with the arrival of glucose in your bloodstream and cleared it relatively quickly. If you can achieve that consistently (by reducing your carbohydate intake where necessary), your FBG readings first thing in the morning should gradually come down.

I have another appointment in the morning, this one with phlebotomy, as two weeks ago, blood test results showed ;kidney drop
It's a fasting blood test.
Hopefully I can get Blood Sugar level below 8 mmol. It was 9.3 this morning.
Well see what the night fashions.....
Thanks for advice livinglightly

This morning, my reading is 8.9.
I'm well chuffed with that, as readings are heading in lower direction.
I've kept well hydrated and going to keep at it with low carbs......

G'Day from Montreal. Woke up to a BG of 4.8mmol/L after a light 2km pre breakfast walk/jog. One med blog says that overnight BG can be cleared from blood stream from just a brisk walk before reading and breakfast. Super pleased with todays' reading.
My Aviva Soft clics lancer broke! It just jammed, then fell apart! :'( I have a lancer from an older Accu Check Plus, plus a newer one in Accu Check Guide that I haven't started using.

The folks at Accu-Chek/Roche responded quickly to my support email and are sending me a new softclix lancer asap.

Eaten one medium size poached egg, with steamed Spinach ( it's just fuel to my mind) and blood sugar readings 2 hours later are 11.6mmol, from pre egg 8.9mmol
Blood sugar last 10 days or so.

I think you are doing really well, mine was in the 20s when first diagnosed so it can be dropped. Just can take a wee while, pat yourself on the back for the progress ;)
