Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Can you describe GERD? I’ve never had heartburn in my life, but lately something odd is burning my throat during night.
Some years ago, out of the blue, I experienced a few episodes of acid reflux, as soon as I lay down in bed for the night. This caused a burning sensation in my throat and was sometimes accompanied by mild chest pain beneath the breastbone. Sometimes, I also noticed a sour taste in my mouth. These symptoms were relieved quite quickly by sitting upright.

While occasional acid reflux usually isn’t something to be concerned about, having these symptoms three or more times a week could be a sign of a more serious condition called gastroesophageal reflux disease [GORD or GERD] and I'd seek medical advice.
