I've been on insulin( humalin M3) twice a day and thereon once a week for just over two weeks now and my f asting bloods are still 17 but I'm seeing my DSN weekly at moment try to get the insulin to the right level hopefully within the next month would be good

I'm on same insulin and its a fine line as to where my insulin works and where it doesn't make any difference at all. Increase slowly under guidance, you will get there and its liberating when you do. I feel your frustration but your nearly there. A low carb diet can reduce your unit needs but find your insulin need first. Well done on taking your diabetes by the throat.
