Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

My own DP starts around 8.00 am and lasts till 12.0, but then for years I worked for an American firm and started work quite late 10-11 but finished late too - perhaps shifted my body clock a bit as a result ?

you could maybe change your inner circadian clock back by trying to take melatonin in the early evening regulary for some months, I don´t know if it will Work though it seems to Work best for sleep at the time of day when one wasn´t supposed to sleep, and do Little difference when one usually sleep

5.6 this morning well we all have are ups and downs and today it's my turn for an up also. Totally mystified as to why though.

@1954jessy Sometimes it inexplicable even taking DP into consideration hope things settle down again for you soon.

fasting 4.9 all night , 6.1 on waking (dinner 7 pm walked 30,000 step yesterday)

I think for now I will put up with it as I'm now retired and tend to rise late anyway. I am having a lot of trouble sleeping as well , but given I wake up every time I turn over due to the pain from the accident that's not surprising either. I guess I will think again later when (hopefully ) its recovered a bit!

Thinking of you my friend. 8.4 for me this morning. Had a rubbish night. Waking for the look every two hours. Blood pressure up as well.
Thanks jessie. I'll message you any news. Getting nervous now. Calcuim one not invasive. Not sure when they'll do others. Today, later today or another day. That's all I know for now.
My fbg was 4.3 this morning but a rough night with 3yr old again. A good distraction. The fridge freezer packed up this morning too. Someone is trying to distract me, thank god.

Good Morning! 5.3 at 0640 today.
I had fish and chips and a mince pie last night. Instead of frozen oven chips I cut up a potato, parboiled the chips for 5 minutes. Cooled them in fridge, then oven baked them. That might have reduced the carbs. They were nice and I'll do that again. :)

This works with pasta too.Just don't do it with rice!!!

Haven't tested yet but about to get up. It may be high as toddler has been up throughout the night. He's so sensitive, he knows I'm worried about tomorrows scan. Even though I'm trying to hide it from the 9yr old.

Wow. Fbg 5.0. Now that is a surprise. Maybe I need to do my night job again on top of looking after a 2yr old all day like 7yrs ago?
First time I'm gobsmacked. lol
Painkillers and rest must be helping me out.

Thinking of you today Vicky, hope all goes well. x Cally

Poor you. Make sure you ask a neighbour to store your insulin if need be.
I'm lucky I have a fitted fridge seperately and a chest freezer in garage. I will miss the space thou and convenience. :(
Surprising good fbg this morning after on /off sleep. Sleeping through day too but I need to make an effort to stay awake, all day. Codeine makes me sleepy thou.
Thankyou for concern. Mind u if old fridge packs up my lovely neighbour is diabetic too. I'm sure her fridge will oblige. :) I've just checked and it can be out for 4 weeks mine. Although not sure if its been out long whilst our chemist transports in delivery. I doubt it will be long enough to cause a problem. I never hold too much at home, for that reason. I hate waste of insulin as so many carnt afford it.
