Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Thanks for the reply @Keesha. I didn’t think so either, but I’m quite new to this so still feeling my way.

Do you think it could be the lateness of my evening meal? Usually have it about 8pm, and testing fbg around 7 or 7:30am so less than 12 hrs ( it was pretty low carb dietdoctor chicken curry)

I regularly (5 times a week) have my meals at 10.30 pm and although my figures are a bit high at the minute I’m normally in the low sixes and have been lower , it’s trying to get the correct food that suits each individual

4.9 today. Usual walk - everywhere beginning to defrost now - the mud will be back in a couple of days I think.

Church this morning - then shared meal before annual meeting. Then out tonight at the Manchester Arena - Elbow are playing <3

Hi everyone I’ve just joined today to hopefully find out a lot more about diabetes, is it normal to feel tired all the time
Hi Paul
Welcome to the forum. I'm too new to give you advice. I can confirm that you have joined a really helpful community.
Your comment has appeared to me in the morning bg thread. You may get more answers in the post a question thread. I find the forum tricky to navigate, especially from my phone. You will get a new member tag from daisy which will be a great starting point. I can't tag you myself as I don't know how.

Morning 7.2 today

Thanks for the advice @Mbaker and @Keesha. Ate latish (9pm) again last night but will try to get organized and eat earlier. Dog will be happy to go out on a late walk too.

Love that you took your dog for a walk last night. That walk should help your blood sugar to come down a bit. Happy dog walking every night.

Hi everyone I’ve just joined today to hopefully find out a lot more about diabetes, is it normal to feel tired all the time

yes it is normal as long as one hasn´t gotten the control of ones blood glucose... actually most type 2 diabetics can get their number of blood glucose down to normal by only eating a total of 100-150 grams of carbs in a total daily..if you try to count the number of grams of carbs you eat daily and get it as low as you can manage ... the easiest way is to eat a breakfast almost without carbs .. like bacon and eggs ... or ham and cheese... ( avoid normal bread by the way , it is almost pure carbs and the white bread spikes blood glucose even more than plain sugar in many cases..)

other fine food choices are nuts, and olives ... and vegs grown over the ground like tomatoes and cucumber

rise and potatoes and corn is not a good choice because of very high levels of carbs in that kind of food choice.. you can find lots of treats also that are low carb.. just keep asking in here , people here are very helpfull and kind .. so keep asking , maybe in a tread you make for the purpose..
