Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

A brilliant idea now coming together in such a positive way, Deb, well done, I’m sure it will be a runaway success. On the weight subject one and a half pounds to go for that 5 stone total lost so far so I should, fingers crossed, achieve that in time for inclusion at the event. I haven’t forgotten you would like before and after photos I will get on that this week.x

It certainly bas come together very quickly! Great support from DCUK and members on this fab forum. Can't thank everyone enough. Pics would be great Jayney. No rush. I'm just starting to put it all together in the booklet this week. I'm looking forward to adding your 5 stone (sharp intake of breath) weight loss. Amazing result. Well done.

5.9 today. I'm delighted. Because last night I was out with the girls. Designated driver so no alcohol but 3 courses food wise. Now still find it difficult in restaurants and tend to go for safe options. Usually ceasar salad! But last night what a treat I had. Portobello mushrooms in stilton sauce to start. Chicken and chorizo kebab with salad (sweet chilli sauce came in a side dish and not smothered all over kebab). And a wonderful cheese board to finish. Bloods 5.5 after 2 hours and not much of a rise this morning. Happy bunny.

Hi mine 6.8 this morning. My post pradial is generally below 5.5 and I have been on a strict diet for a month. Morning readings are lower but still not low enough☹️
Welcome to the forum @Sledger. Morning fbgs are often higher, sometimes due to 'Dawn Phenomenon' where your liver dumps stored glucose into your bloodstream as you wake to get you going. But your post prandial readings are great.
