Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Ah
5.1 this morning :)
Flu jab day for me too @ianpspurs . Just looked back at last year’s numbers and they weren’t affected. Hopefully this same this year :nailbiting:

Ah, I wonder ... had my flu jab yesterday - could that have affected things? How long would it take to affect BGs if it did?

Probably next fbg if it is anything like illness - which my limited scientific knowledge believes it is but I stand to be corrected (waited for ever to use that phrase)

@Rachox It was 2 years ago there seemed to be some issues for several people if I remember correctly. Hope all goes well for the whole flock this year.

I wasn’t diabetic 2 years ago, at least not to my knowledge! Fingers crossed we are all ok this time.

Thanks @ianpspurs - first reading afterwards (about two hours later) was 6.1 then down to 4.6 after another five hours so it doesn't look like that was the cause of the high this morning.

7.0 today ☹️maybe my imagination but starting to feel slightly better after being under the weather for a week or so with aching muscles creaky bones and little appetite but still eating something I’ve put the aches down to a bit dehydration I don’t drink enough on a daily basis so I’ll change that

10.0 this morning I hadn't test it for a day, went to Brighton for lunch in Chinese restaurant and shopping ( I just
want a break from picking the fingers ) but still aware of carb consumption.
Back to being good to myself again.
Happy weekend break to you all.

You have found this brilliant site. Things can only get better. Firstly check out all this important info. I'm going to tag in @daisy1 who will send it to you shortly.

What would you eat during the day? I find the lower the carbs the lower the blood sugar. Simple as that. And the good news is as soon as you start to get to the right level of carbs for your body your blood sugars will reflect very well.
