Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

my blood levels are normaly 7 but the last ten weeks iv had covid for two weeks it took a month to get over it and then a roaring ear infection for three weeks, im just putting this in to say since been ill my morning levels are 8 and today it was 8.5 . iv not had levels like this since i got diagnosed 6 years ago and before i changed my diet etc. iv heard when you are ill your sugar levels cab get eratic ?. is this other people experience. ? iv got an appoinment to see a my diabetic nurse on the 16th of december

Just new to this. My waking level is 6.6 lowest it goes is 5.3 fasted. Highest it has gone is 7.2. Testing for insulin resistance reasons. According to the charts these are outside the level of normal. With intermittent fasting and low carb how long will it take to reset the insulin production
