Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.5 - on pred, ran out of metformin and didnt realise until last night.

For the people in the 5s did it take a long tiem after diagnosis to reach those figures? What was the key weight loss/medication or low carbs?

When I’m not in a flare and on pred I’m usually low 5’s and for me it’s both low carbs and being on metformin. I did a pregnancy being T2 and being very low carb did not save me i needed metformin and insulin (2 kinds) once baby was born the insulin went away.
