Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

My reading this morning was 4.2 within 20 minutes of waking up it drops to the 3s. I take a jelly baby to get it back to 4s. Is this due to not eating enough carbs. I am type 2 on insulin and metformem can't spell it.
In my opinion you firstly need to get a meds review and ( again in my opinion ) need to reduce some of either your metformin or insulin . But this needs to be discussed with a medical professional ...hopefully one who knows what they are doing :)

Hey Lorna. When I was on Glyburide I had to keep DEX4 with me all the time, cause I would get some looloo hypos on that stuff. You folks here put me on to Saxaglyptin and Metformin, and my new MD put me on Komboglyze (Sax+Met.). I've been very stable ever since. FWIW. Great success.
