Website Response times

As a matter of interest, are you using the App or browser on your phone?

I'm using App. Sometimes it takes several minutes to open, other times it opens immediately.

@noblehead I tried to quote your post. The black rectangle ( top right) showing the delay came up. I waited for a couple of minutes then went downstairs to finish cooking my evening meal. There was 7 mins left on the clock. I cooked it, weighed it and put it on a plate and ate it. I also drank a pint of water. I came back upstairs .... and the black box was still there!

I have the same as you, It's fast when not logged-in too. I think perhaps we are both in the naughty corner and there's now a delay on our posts to try to dissuade us from posting. Well if that's the case - it's worked.

Logged on quickly again today (0810) and fast loading again. Seems a lot better over the last 24 hours than it was over the previous week.

It's weird, forum is fast when not logged-in but is slow on logging in.

When you are locked on, it needs to look in the database to check for alerts from threads you are watching and like etc. As about 99.9% of people who access a forum do so from google and never create an account, forum software is designed to use as few as resources as possible when someone is not logged on.

I never log out, except when I clear cookies and then I have no choice.

It has been good all day, but right now at nearly 10 past 10 it is dire.

Dire for me too. I can open the Home page but after I look at one thing, I have to close the tab and open another one to look at anything else. It just freezes and is totally unuseable.

This latest thing started this evening when I logged on. It had been better earlier.
