I’ve returned after being away from the thread. I haven’t stopped reading though and cheering you on. I just was tired of my plateau I think. Doing the right things and staying stuck can be frustrating . But, I stayed with it and continue with my healthy lifestyle, eating good food, managing BG, and daily exercise. I’m now down 3 pounds more and am 3 pounds from my goal. Something tells me they are going to be the hardest to lose yet! But…..it’s something to look forward to and I’m planning a little celebration when it happens. Best wishes to all of you!
Plateaus are hard and discouraging. But as you found out eventually along comes the breakthrough. Congratulations on sticking with it. Maybe the next three pounds will get the message that you are serious!

Hi @filly @MrsA2 I am glad you are still watching it, keep going, you are doing great no matter what the scales say!

Glad to see you back @Prancy I am feeling your pain with the plateau as I am going through one at the moment. It is so hard, but it seems like your patience has paid off.

Well done @May Mic yes, I remember when I was hillwalking a lot, I could eat loads and never gain a pound, it really is hard work. Which hills have you been doing? I have quite a few Munros under my belt, still hope to get one more in before I get too old.

As stated above, I am still stuck in a plateau, I am going to introduce more protein and fibre and see if that does the trick! My exercise is on point and so is my diet, but I suspect they are equalising now.

I've been doing a hill near me. It's about 1/4 mile long (.402km) Now I am adding an additional block to the walk at the end to ensure my body doesn't get too used to just the hill.

I'm not sure what a Munro is .

That sounds fabulous, a great form of exercise and it clearly is doing you a lot of good. A Munro is a Scottish mountain over 3,000 feet. I live far away now, but I hope to get some holiday time up there next year.

I am gradually increasing my endurance on the Staircase stairstepper at my gym. It’s the closest I can get to a hill right now. I can definitely feel it all over when I get on.

I have to switch to a low fiber diet this weekend for my colonoscopy prep. Ugh….Next week is going to be interesting. Lol

The stairmaster is a killer and good luck with the colonoscopy and prep!

Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.

I’m still the same. It’s rather bizarre that I didn’t lose after my colonoscopy prep all day Wednesday, (torture !) but I think I gained from all the fluids I had to drink. I had gained 2 pounds when I checked in to the medical office yesterday! But, I knew it was fluid. I got rid of most of it and was back down this morning to my regular weight from last week.

The great news is that my colonoscopy was clear! I’m very grateful for that and no need for another one for 10 years! No polyps!

Now….I’m going to really focus on my diet and exercise over the next 3 days. Healthy, but focused. We’ll see how close to my goal I am for my doctors appointment on Monday. I’m journaling my food! That holds me accountable.

Those last 3 pounds are so illusive. I realize that focusing on numbers is not a great idea, but I’m being healthy about it. No starving and keeping up with vitamins and nutrients.

Good luck to those who didn’t reach a goal last week and congrats to those who did!

I am away this week so no weigh in. But I'm eating well ( for the most part) and walking a lot. A big box store plus a missing SO makes for a lot of walking

Hi @Hutula76 and welcome to the thread, are you gaining or losing (both are welcome here)? Either way, good luck with your journey.

Argh, sorry @filly - it will all be gone next week, I am sure!

Well done @IanBish - you are on it at the moment!

@Prancy that is great news about the results of your colonoscopy and even better that you don't have to have it done for another 10 years. I am sure everything will settle back down, it is all rather disruptive.

@May Mic enjoy your stay away and well done on keeping an eye on your food and exercise, it helps a lot.

I lost 1lb this week after quite a stall (hooray), so I am hoping things are on the move again. I am now just half a pound away from goal. Now when I say goal, it is actually my first goal and I will be moving the target once I get there as I would like a few pounds under that just to be on the safe side and to (hopefully) reduce my still rather large stomach area.

Have a great week everyone!

Until the next stall. But I'll take this small win.

The weight seems to get more stubborn the less we weigh. But maybe our bodies will get the message that we're serious and are not going to give up. Well done.

Congrats on that loss! It’s amazing how stubborn a couple of pounds can be. I like your idea of adding a little for padding on the loss. I’ll do that after I reach my major milestone.

I can’t recall if I’ve posted what the number is, but it’s a high number as far as weight loss goes. Anyway….that’s why I was hoping to make it by Monday. We shall see. I worked out today and resumed my food log. Wrote down all my food and calories. We’ll see if being laser focused makes any difference. I’m working out Sat and Sunday too. Have a great week everybody!

I lost 1lb this week, which finally takes me to my first goal. Today is my 18month anniversary of starting the diet. I still have weight to lose, so now I am going to focus on that and I am happy to lose slowly now.

Keep going everyone - it is worth it!

I am out of town with friends celebrating a friend’s birthday. Haven’t weighed the latter part of the week. I last weighed this past Monday at the doctor appointment and I did not make my goal for that large milestone. Still, I had lost 5 pounds since I last weighed there, so I took solace in that.

I was very focused since my last post until Monday as well, but it didn’t really do much. Plus, I didn’t use the bathroom despite taking a laxative! That’s never good.

Still close to my goal and talked to my doctor about skin surgery. Made an appointment for consults with 2 different plastic surgeons.

Congrats Filly on your loss this week!

LeafyArts. Congrats on meeting your first GOAL!!! That‘s incredible! It must feel awesome!
