Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Down 3.4.
I started Ozempic last Saturday. I wanted to improve my numbers. If I lose weight they should improve and I can get off some of them or reduce them. While my A1C is good at 6.5, it's still diabetic.

The Dr. was supportive of my taking the initiative even though she was OK with where I was with A1C , but other numbers had jumped up.

It took me a while and research and peer input to reach the decision.
Ooh, great results already. Keep us posted on how you get on. GLP-1s are proving very helpful for both diabetes and weight management. If I hadn't been lucky enough to be able to lose the weight without such means, I certainly would have tried one of the options available now.

I know my clothes are tighter and my tummy bigger...
But according to the scales I'm the same, or at least the middle of the same 1, 2 or 3 lbs that go on, come off, go on again.
Thought I'd put on, so happily surprised
But mustn't be complacent.

Well, that is a relief, MrsA2, but yes, best not to get complacent.

How did you get on this week?

After a long time not losing much for ages, I have lost 3lbs this week, which is rather odd and probably means I will have to wait another several months before losing again, but I will take it!

When you are in a weight loss stall, nothing for it but to continue on and wait it out, the weight will drop eventually.

I've lost 2lbs but due to a stomach illness that meant I didn't eat for 36 hours, then only lightly after.
Suspect it will be on again next few days
Oh, tummy bugs are doing the rounds at the moment, I am sorry you got hit. Look after yourself and hopefully you won't gain it back.

How are you doing this week? I stayed the same, which I am not surprised about after last weeks big loss and I am quite happy about that. December is going to be tough, I have quite a lot of social events to attend and food will be such a temptation. It was easier last year because I could eat more calories as I was heavier, now I really have to watch what I eat and hunger is an issue. I still refuse to reduce my calorie intake and I do have more carbs now which helps.

Good luck everyone!

Down 3. I'm surprised it's coming off so quickly with Ozempic, but concerned I may be losing too fast. I spoke to the Dr. we agreed I should stay on the minimum dose for now. I feel more comfortable that way.

Gosh, that is a good loss and a good call to stay on the minimum dose. What does it feel like on the drug - less hunger and do you feel any ill effects at all?
