Eating to my meter has become my mantra, although I still have a lot to learn. I hate to waste food, had a huge portion of soup today because I did not want to throw any away. Wrong!!It takes sometime to settle to the new routine and, though it can be difficult, don't get too hung up by a high 2 hour reading, learn from it and things will smooth out.
It does sound as if you are in charge of what you eat, which is good.
Stay posting.
I had a fair number of bottles of beer, which I took into work and gave away, not touched beer since I was diagnosed... somethings are just toast!Eating to my meter has become my mantra, although I still have a lot to learn. Actually I have thrown more food away this week than ever before. Huge bowl of Cauliflower mash because I did not like it! Pastryless quiches because I cooked too many and after a couple of days they looked unappetising .........
Chorizo is central to my crust-less flan/quiche... just great!Late breakfast. 2 pork sausages and ratatouille
No lunch
Snack. Cheese and nuts
For dinner, Mr H made chicken breast, cauli cheese and green beans fried up with chorizo. So delicious!!! Nothing was ever made worse by chorizo!
B. Bulletproof coffee
L. 8 prawns, 3 calamari in wholemeal breadcrumbs, mackerel patè and 3 cod fingers. 6 button mushrooms in butter and blackpudding. 1 pt of diet coke.
D. Not hungry yet..... any ideas????
S. Pork scratchings. 20g.
