Who were your captors? I want to run and offer my wrists for handcuffing!
B: Yoghurt with mixed nuts
L: Hummus with celery sticks
D: Will be a 'use all the leftovers in the fridge ommlette'

I caved in at work today and ate a very chocolatey chocolate biscuit. :(

It was the work xmas dinner. £12.97 a head, for three courses.
Bloomin gorgeous.
The people who went for the turkey dinner were awed by my lovely boeuf. Huge portion!

Sounds blummin amazing! My work do is, thankfully, while I'm on holiday next week. They've chosen the only pub restaurant in the area that can hold all our staff and service users but serves the absolute worse meals.

I was defeated by the lure of the hash browns on my all day breakfast meal out but didn't succumb to the temptation of the fried bread. My bg when I got home from the pantomime was 5.3 though. I think it was all the dancing, clapping, singing and shouting (it's behind you) that brought it down. I had forgotten how much I enjoy pantomimes.

B: bacon, egg and a tablespoon of baked beans with half a toasted lidl HP roll
L: not needed
D: will be pulled pork, cauli cheese and whatever greenery is still in the fridge - probably the dreaded broccoli, but I am hoping for green beans or sugarsnaps. I suspect I will be disappointed...

And I might make a lemon chia pud for tomorrow... I noticed 2 lemons sitting looking at me provocatively this afternoon, so they obviously need a good blitz. :)

Me, too. We grow all the ones that are difficult to find in the shops. Cavalo Nero is my favourite closely followed by ruby chard.

First day of week off so I thought I'd be all virtuous and fast until dinner. It was going fine right up until I decided to experiment with making some fresh cream brandy truffles. I had to make them today because I want to take them with me when we visit friends tomorrow (to show them that I'm not the carb free food weirdo they think I've turned in to). Anyway, the smell of the warm chocolatey, brandy and cream mixture has had me drooling. I'm comforting myself that I can have one after dinner tonight.

So, today,

Breakfast, lunch and snacks: Tetley Redbush tea with vanilla, some really nice black decaff cafetierre (sp?) coffee, and loads and loads of water

Dinner: A sort of cheese fondue experiment with lots of crunchy veg, ham cubes and lidl protein roll to dip in.

Supper: One perfectly formed brandy, fresh cream and Green & Blacks 85% truffle.

If I get hungry later I've got some soup.

B - Usual coffee with fat, and an oatcake to satisfy the DVLA that I could drive (BG 4.9 )
L - loads of sautéed greens fresh from the market and garden, mushrooms, poached eggs and smoked salmon, an apple
snacks - a couple of handfuls of nuts, and a piece of 100% chocolate
Dinner - fresh vegetable soup, followed by possibly oatcakes, cheese, PB on sliced apple

May also need a carby snack for the turbo trainer later, although I managed a 10k run yesterday on just 15g carbs.

I see people you eat hummous (I love it) and lentils, aren't these full of carbs and should be totally avoided?

B: None
L: 1 boiled egg with some cheesy coleslaw, small slice xmas cake with cheese.
D: Mixed salad with dry fried haloumi cheese small drizzle sweet chilli sauce.
Had a mug of ready made mulled wine - BG spiked to 9.2 - oops. Could taste the syrupy sweetness of it as I was drinking it - but still went ahead! Trying to decide if I should throw the rest of it away - still 3/4 of the bottle left. Or be a rebel and have the rest anyway.
BG back down to 6, 2 hours after so all's well I suppose.
