Yes, they are dark chocolates. I'm trying to let my partner eat most of them but if I can fit in one or two I shan't complain.@Mauriac oh you poor pitiful thingstuck with a box of HC... are they dark chocolate? Actually, that is expensive choc, it sounds like!
The usual menu today. OMAD day as in, I grazed all day. I have been very very tired and palpitations for a week now. My SpO2 monitor arrived today, number disturbingly low compared to usual. Calling cardiologist tomorrow morning. There is also the headache... I read of a woman who had Covid whose only symptom at admission was low SpO2. Great. Hoping I get a prophylactic test tomorrow.
Good, um.... morning! all
@DJC3 never mind the gin, I just want the strawberry fragrance!

It tastes quite ham like I suppose but is softer in texture. If I could eat anything I wanted all the time I wouldn't ever eat it but when you are on a dietary regime of any kind you have to make compromises don't you and it's low in carbs and calories and moderately high in fibre so fits my needs very well. I wouldn't want to eat it too often but it's fine now and again.I hope everyone else is having a beautiful sunny day!
@Mauriac - Well done to your partner - I couldn't give my husband a box of chocolates and expect any to be left by the end of the day! What is that Quorn 'ham' like? I have looked at it on Asda and see there 2-3 types but the prices vary so I'm not sure which is better.

Thank you, @DJC3 ! I can only speak for testing in my city, it varies wildly all over the country. My PCP has tests. You can walk in to a particular urgent care place and get one-- they had them early "at select locations". Many grocery store pharmacies have them, and the city/surrounding counties all offer free testing at advertised "popup spots". My cardio is a very large practise; I would expect them to have a stash too. And there's always the emergency room at any hospital.
@Chook and @MrsA2 re the ground flax-- yes, flax oil goes rancid very quickly, and does smell fishy! Freezer is where I keep my meal. Whole seeds apparently do not have this problem, but if they get hot when you grind them, then you either lose the benefit of the fats, or make it go bad quicker, or both, I don't remember! I buy it by the truckload from Amazon and put in my chest freezer (where people usually put their co-op side of beef, or their venison you know lol) Chook, B vitamins had not occurred to me! I haven't taken my multi-vits in a while. Glad it worked for Mr C!! Would your mini-laptop be a "netbook"? Like my Chromebook-- no internal storage; very good for people like me who do everything on the web. I haven't had to worry about Windows in ten years!!
Called cardio office and she found me something next Monday <roll eyes>. Apparently if you don't have chest pain you are not eligible for "come right now!", which makes sense I guess. Meanwhile the SpO2 is up in a more normal range, go figure!
Just like that, it's fall! Youall would probably think that 13C is summer, but not around here! My hands are freeeezing!
I have looked up Quorn a couple of times, but I'm afraid I might have a massive allergic reaction, given my massive mold allergies......
Hi All
Today started with my usual breakfast of cooled HiLo toast, slab butter lots tea.
Had a h/m Lemon Muffins mid morning made for coffee with a friend in the garden, 5g carbs, so only very occasional treat. Wasnt hungry at lunch so had a tablesp egg mayo with a couple lettuce leaves.
Supper will be chicken, chorizo, red pepper with tin toms and paprika courgetti/pasta for Mr PM. Having a gin, lots soda and ice cos it could be last really hot day of this year.
Just doing my Sainsbury list for next week. Has anyone tried Birds Eye Green Cuisine burgers? They seem to be 3.9g each.
