I've just had a look at the soup and I don't trust it. I think it isn't supposed to have lots of tiny air bubbles.@Antje77 if only the GPs and bunnies liked soup it would solve the problem.
Possibly from hubby’s work place just before holiday or while we were away? Thanks for you best wishes, none of us are particularly unwell at the mo. We are all double jabbed so hopefully we won’t get sicker@Rachox sorry to hear of your covid troubles. Any idea how you all got it? Wishing you all mild cases
I made a big pot of soup yesterday, a creamy cheesy leek soup with minced meat, very nice. And then I forgot to put it in the fridge.
I expect I'll survive eating it today, but not sure I'll dare eating it tomorrow still. It was 17 degrees in the kitchen tonight.
I figured I wouldn't have much time to cook after coming home today late afternoon; I'm going to pick up a bunny as a friend for my lonely bunny. The bunny lives very close to the place where I always get my guinea pigs, almost an hour away, so I thought I could get some more of them too, being in the area.
I currently have 11 piggies, 14 is the perfect amount for some unknown reason, so if I get 4 or 5 I should be good for the next year at least
But it looks like I'll need to do some repairs to the rabbit pen first: late last night two friendly ladies knocked on my door with my bunny in their arms, it had been hopping on the road!
So you see, the soup had better not have gone off tonight.
Glad to hear my wasted soup has had some good use! Sometimes it hits me how oddly amazing it is that I can do something here, in the Netherlands which makes a direct change to something on your side of the North Sea, or the other way around of course. Like saving your soup, or surprising myself with cooking something someone mentioned on here right the same dayYou've reminded me to put the remaining soup in pots in the fridge, @Antje77, thanks for that!
@maglil55 I will tell the butcher to look there first before he posts on facebook, so he is up to date with his recipesI've had that on my CMT recipe App for a while.
I will try and do that.@Riva_Roxaban I’ve seen that bacon weave pizza too but never tried it, be sure to show us a photo if you make it.
Mmmmm! Cavy curry is very tasty in South America.currently have 11 piggies, 14 is the perfect amount for some unknown reason, so if I get 4 or 5 I should be good for the next year at least
Thank you for your concern, the Delta variant is the dominant strain at the mo in the U.K. so I guess we may have it@Rachox hope you and your family get over this quickly, also hoping you have not got the "delta" strain.
I have my fingers crossed for you.Thank you for your concern, the Delta variant is the dominant strain at the mo in the U.K. so I guess we may have it
At the shelter I've paid 15 euros a piece, and while they're very tasty (yes, I've had guinea pig, very fatty, tasty meat, nothing like rabbit, much closer to pork) that's too expensive for my tastes. Lots of annoying small bones as well.Mmmmm! Cavy curry is very tasty in South America.
You will have a years worth.
I was just grumbling about having to go shopping and cooking today because of the soup gone off, when my neighbour called to tell me I should come over to get a portion of broad beans.
I love broad beans!
Got almost a bucket full, and I like them much better fresh than frozen, so I'll be eating lots of broad beans in the next few days
Anyone got a favourite recipe to share?
Simply take some cooked broad beans (out of skins), mash with garlic, olive oil and grated parmesan to taste. Use as dip, or on pasta, crackers etc. Can make it fancier by adding mint or coriander or anchoviesAnyone got a favourite recipe to share?
