Both this thread (What have you eaten today) and the full on chat FBG thread are perfectly fine for recording both food and BG.Many of my posts were recently moved and appeared in:
"What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)"
In case anyone is wondering where I am disappearing to, it is there. I think it is useful to post test results along with what I actually ate, so I guess I will be posting my food journal and test results in future on that thread. IMHO I would have thought this thread was more appropriate, but posting there means my daily data will stay in one place. I hope many of you who post your daily food and test results join me over there.
Big blow out this evening with surprisingly good results!!!
Thank you for the explanation, I was just very surprised that so many posts were moved, as the only thing off topic was my one reply to someone's informative post, which was one word.... "Wow!".....Anyway, I am there now. I will stop now, as this is really too much off topic, and a lot more than one word. Both this thread (What have you eaten today) and the full on chat FBG thread are perfectly fine for recording both food and BG.
This one needs to stay mostly on topic but allows for additions to what you've eaten (like my Poes), and the occasional post as a reaction without mentioning what you have eaten.
The full on chat one is exactly that, anything goes!
And to be clear, there were no posts moved from this thread lately, we did some moving from FBG threads, not from here.
Well that saved me from putting on my mod hat to remind folks of the purpose of this thread. Both this thread (What have you eaten today) and the full on chat FBG thread are perfectly fine for recording both food and BG.

I was looking at this one on Amazon which is quite pretty.I do remember you saying that, I love the thought of drinking it in a glass with a holder too.
Someone in a FB group said they can drink black tea if they can’t actually see what it looks like so they’ve started having it in a travel mug so they can’t see it. I tried it and surprisingly it works. ( but I must get a tea travel mug, my old one has a definite coffee patina)
I put my BGs on this thread with my food. As you say, it helps to connect BGs with what went before.Thank you for the explanation, I was just very surprised that so many posts were moved, as the only thing off topic was my one reply to someone's informative post, which was one word.... I appreciate it cannot be easy for the mods keeping these threads on topic, as that ultimately, is what we all want.
Thing was I didn't realise what the term "big boned" was until I commented on my husband being "big boned" my meaning was that he was tall with muscles. He was horrified and then told me what the term "big boned" meant! I was mortified. I know now what it means and detest the term as it was drummed into me growing up. "Bonnie lass" would have gone down better for me.No breakfast because my Welsh friend was visiting and I had made a cake (traybake) to offer her, so I knew I would have a small piece, just to check that it was OK. It was.
Lunchtime shortly so will probably have egg mayo.
2nd meal will be a kind of mince hash - as long as Neil gets some beef mince for me in the shopping, otherwise it will have to be fish from the freezer.
@Lainie71, just noticed your dislike of the term "big boned" - I was always told that as well. I was heavy as a teenager (101/2 stone) but I was skinny with big elbows and knees jutting out. So I believed it. Now those bones are not visible under all the fat, so I can't use that as an excuse any more.
I've had 2 coffees with semi skimmed, 2 green teas, 2 apples, home made veg & lentil soup, and 4 sausages, mash, broccoli and gravy.
Not so sure the apples and mash are a great idea though.I've had 2 coffees with semi skimmed, 2 green teas, 2 apples, home made veg & lentil soup, and 4 sausages, mash, broccoli and gravy.
Good to know. I love this thread and was not happy about not contributing to it anymore. I will take your post as the definitive of what is allowed in this thread. Both this thread (What have you eaten today) and the full on chat FBG thread are perfectly fine for recording both food and BG.
