- Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.
Well couldn't get out for 5+ weeks because of knee replacement and not driving. Then drove for two days and then fob for garage in basement broke completely. It then took management 6 days to get a new one too me. So now I can do whatever I want but new gates in garage broken! So gates open until fixed. I live on a hill and knee and back don't like it at all.How could you not get out? My mind is buzzing with possibilities. If you were ill, I hope you have fully recovered.
Where do you get the LC rolls from please they look yummy and I need them in my lifeBreakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a DGF lemon cookie.
Dinner: salmon and cream cheese on a LC roll with coleslaw.

I'm not surprised! My neighbour had both knees done. We're on level ground, though. How are they now? It must have felt like another lockdown.Well couldn't get out for 5+ weeks because of knee replacement and not driving. Then drove for two days and then fob for garage in basement broke completely. The costs are met - initial fares for self and escort and some costs reimbursed after the return journey. I'm not sure that Neil is up to driving the distance any more, or even that our car will do it. When ever it will be, I'll have to find someone who could go with me. DIL has done it in the past but she's working now. I have a friend who has offered in the past, but she's a teacher and is tied to school working days. It'll turn out allright.Friday 9 June bed 6.9 FBG 6.3. @MrsA2 - I've stopped fretting about occasional "out of the ordinary" freak reading. I just accept it happens. Sometimes, there is a reason, sometimes not. I must admit that I test a lot more if I get a freaky reading.
B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with cheese triangles. Benecol dairy free.
L. Nothing - I ended up with the eldest grandson who actually wanted to do homework!
D. A Caribbean chicken kebab. Got them in the butcher's this morning, and boy, did they have heat! Salad, and Hubby was at it again with "real" chips. I had 4. CC little chocolate pot. 6 of those Muscat grapes. I must admit it is easy to limit the chips, but these Muscat grapes are more difficult.
@Annb - I already knew the road trip to Glasgow was very, very lengthy. I used to drive these roads a lot when I worked. Are your costs met for you when you are required to travel these distances for treatment? Do they even consider how difficult these journeys are? It makes me angry hot on the heels of a certain Green MSP, spending taxpayers money to hire a private cruiser to get her and her entourage to the islands recently. View attachment 61342
I thought I had Edam slices, but when I looked they were Cheddar slices. I tried one lot at 2 minutes and another at one minute in the m/w. 2 minutes was too long, one minute too short. The 2 minute ones were certainly crisper and worked well as "soldiers". I'll try to get some Edam to try again - I think the Cheddar was too "melty" and it needs something more substantial. Still, I enjoyed them.B- more dippy eggs, this time with asparagus soldiers. I think my favourite so far as been the crispy Edam. I hope you liked it @Annb it wasn’t my invention though - I’m rereading Dr Bernsteins Diabetes Solution and he mentions it ( although he used sliced processed cheese)
L- salad of leaves, tuna, red pepper, walnuts, olives and avocado. ACV/oo dressing. DGF
D- pork stroganoff with broccoli and zoodles. Mini bar of Montezuma’s Absolute black. View attachment 61343
I get them from this company. I buy them in bulk and freeze them. They freeze well.Where do you get the LC rolls from please they look yummy and I need them in my life
I find gouda or maasdam slices work well, often found in Aldi or Lidl. Parmesan too but cooks quicker.I thought I had Edam slices, but when I looked they were Cheddar slices. Cut into triangle and optionally sprinkle with paprika works well as replacement crisps or tortilla chips.
Quite nice to gave a bit of crunch occasionally
Yes it did. Knee very good now. Just nights which are still difficult and have no idea why.I'm not surprised! My neighbour had both knees done. We're on level ground, though. How are they now? It must have felt like another lockdown.
What is ACVBreakfast kefir
Lunch ACV in water and salad with ham followed by Apple peel and some 100% chocolate
Dinner ACV in water and some hummus with crudites then hm chilli con carne with a few kidney beans and LC garlic bread - a quarter of a LC roll with garlic butter and glass of red followed by LC cake and decaffeinated coffee. Will check my bgs in a bit 're the double pulses chickpeas in hummus and kidney beans ! I'll edit and add! Hoping ACV will be up to the challenge!
Edit only a one point rise so looks like I can deal with a few kidney beans I only had a few I also added some olives to give extra texture as usually use olives as a LC alternative to beans.
Got it apple cider vinegar! What is ACV
I think both would be the answer - slow cook and then finish in the AF. That way, they'd be nice and tender, you'd have the gravy/juices, but the meat would be crisped on the sides. This was my haul from a Farmers market today. Been wanting to get to this monthly one for years but never managed it before as its quite a way away. Did go rather extravagant and didn't look at prices. (Just as well as mostly eye watering!)
The beer, quiche, chutney and sausage rolls are hubby's, the rest is mine! (Though I might share if the boys ask me very very nicely)
4 cheeses, sausages, bacon , short ribs, water kefir
The plastic bottle is filled with fresh nettle and rhubarb kombucha
Question, beef short ribs, slow cooker or airfryer? Google suggests both. I'm thinking slow cooker as need to keep every drop of expensive juices
