How did you miss the thread? Thanks for the link. (I hadn’t realised there was a kefir thread! )
There’s improper broccoli? Scandalous.
@LivingLightly kindly alerted me to the origins of the tenderstem type. And I thought @IanBish had the line on “ scandalous “ tonight.
How did you miss the thread?
I've tagged you in it when starting it, it's here!https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/kefir.202559/
@DJC3 That looks lovely - so colourful and healthy.
You'll see I've just replied as I use my mobile.
Pretty sure you've already tried this, but are there settings available in the app? On the web version of the forum you can choose what notifications you want to receive.Whoops! Thank you ( again) the DCUK app hasn’t sent me notifications since Aug 2023 which is very frustrating. I look at this thread most days so I’ll usually see if I’ve been tagged, but never know if it’s somewhere else. It’s a pain.

I have no experience with the app, tried it once and gave up after an hour, I couldn't find anything.
Would be interesting to know if others using the app have the same issues.
Yum Yum@PenguinMum what a wonderful lunchtime with your grandson. What did you read to him?
I laughed at your ‘BAD for you’ sign to yourself, I think I might copy that idea.
2 meals for me today, late-ish breakfast of h/m yoghurt raspberries and seeds.
Late lunch/early dinner of salad which was nice enough but as I’d been cold all day it didn’t help. Followed by a couple of squares Montezuma’s Absolute black.
Out to the cinema to see the Bob Marley film, took a diet cola and pack of Cheesies. View attachment 66373
Poor you your vertigo coming back it really is one of the most difficult things to deal with as you have to take things really slowly hope tablets help and crossing fingers it goes away soon.Trying the full website on my phone to see if it’s better ( couldn’t be a lot worse) than the app.
woke to find the dreaded vertigo had come back so had to cancel all my plans today.
B- one scrambled egg to take new vertigo tabs.
l- L/C pizza topped with mozzarella, mushrooms, red pepper, olives and jalapenos
D- Rump steak, blue cheese sauce, mushrooms and airfried veg with some spinach stirred through.
Looking forward to the updates! I think I was giving mine too much milk which may have been getting sour rather than fermented by the grains.... I've kept a few healthy looking grains and now that the Tom Parker's is here I'm starting them off with some of that.Hi all
Mixed day today we were booked to go to Wales to see family for a few days but had a call to rearrange because of health of brothers partners elderly mum. To be honest though poor forecast with more rain so probably for the best. That meant though I had to go shopping as had run down my supplies and spotted reduced sticker rhubarb so bought two packs and got cooking. I cook rhubarb in slow cooker with lemons and root ginger. I keep all the cooking fluid ginger and cooked lemons to use as a cordial. I also experimented a couple of weeks ago with liquidizing a couple of the leftover cooked lemons and using in my low carb baking - will do this again in a few days as some cakes left in freezer. Photo below of my cooked rhubarb and the cordial - all now in fridge

@jpscloud had some descendants of my grains back from friend earlier so put them out to start working - had planned to wait while back but as around wanted to get started - can't wait to see the grains growing again!
My wife recently had vertigo for first time ever, after two days of dizzy spells and walking like a drunk, phoned doctor who recommended the "Epley Maneuver" to be found on You tube (Bob and Brad), amazingly it worked immediately. Returned at a lesser level next morning, so we completed the exercise again and hey presto!! It worked !! Apparently it works for about 85% of people with vertigo, we can certainly recommend it.Trying the full website on my phone to see if it’s better ( couldn’t be a lot worse) than the app.

Sorry your plans were cancelled but the cooking looks good. Can I ask do you sweeten the rhubarb at all? I love it but not sure I could do without a sweetener.Hi all

Hiya usually I have without sweetener - ginger and lemon gives it a sweeter taste to me - but if you like sweeter things no reason not to add sweetener to taste. I have used eyrithritol when serving to family who have sweeter teeth. Start low and see how you get on.Sorry your plans were cancelled but the cooking looks good.
