BABY LAMBS!Loving the stories of you neighbour @Antje77 , he cooks, he is in touch with his feelings, have fun! Off to lunch at my sister’s today. She lives on a farm and has lots of baby lambs at the moment, will probably get to bottle feed some
@LivingLightly, my numbers after eating that mashed potato with my lunch earlier: 4.8 before and 5.8 two hours later. No wasted strips today, either!I seem to be okay having a small egg fried rice, which is cold and reheated by the takeaway, from time to time. I'll be sure to waste a few strips and let you know my numbers. Probably at the weekend.
Bet you've enjoyed feeding those baby lambs. We've seen a lot of them recently they are very cute and a real sign of spring arriving too.Good morning,Happy Easter if you celebrateLoving the stories of you neighbour @Antje77 , he cooks, he is in touch with his feelings, have fun! Loving your neighbour news updates. Sounds like a wonderful equal relationship.Evening meal was shawarma with onions, some endive by way of salad on top, garlic sauce, and runner beans with a knob of butter and salt on the side.
Not a common combination but I had shawarma and runner beans so why not?
I had my neighbour over for food and drinks so I forgot to make a picture, but tomorrow will be the same meal so I'll get another chance.
Neighbour is now off to his own bed so I'll get more sleep but less fun. Which I guess is sensible but, erm, I'd have preferred less sensible...
It's a dangerously fine line we walk between friendship, 'friends with benefits' as they call it, and something more. I'm very glad we're able to talk those things through to make sure the friendship won't suffer. The better I get to know him, the more I'm sure this friendship will work long time no matter what else happens in our lives, he's very careful when it comes to feelings.
Good news 're your keeping to carnivore that you are trying out but Ive always thought it was acceptable to broaden carnivore to all animal products and so include diary and smoked meat too. I really can't see why you wouldn't have the same benefits 're your diabetic control if you broaden from meat only to include dairy, eggs and preserved or smoked meat. It needs to be enjoyable and sustainable for you too and I'd imagine that it's more difficult for you 're supply of the ideal grass red meat only when dependant on limited supplies to your island.I've been reading up on carnivore diets and, while I intend to give it a try (having seen the fantastic result of my friend following it), I suspect that it may not be a long term option for me. I will try, though for as much of a month as I can manage and see what happens, then will try to reintroduce vegetables into my diet. I don't see me managing to go without dairy products nor can I get hold of grass fed products, or bones to make bone broth, so the attempt will not be ideal. My home made sausage should be OK, I think but I can see that processed meat (ham and bacon) could be an issue. Have to think a bit more about that. I'm already missing the few vegetables that I did eat and it's only day 2!
That sausage looks very similar to mine earlier; I won't say cremated, more well done. I enjoyed mine. That roast chicken looks delicious, mind.Dinner roast Chicken dinner with one high meat % sausage and cauliflower mash topped with cheese looks very beige but low carb and very enjoyable hm chicken stock for "gravy"

Whatever floats your boat @Antje77. Sounds as though you've picked a good 'un.And yes, I very much chose the right neighbour to live in my garden.
Brilliant numbers there @IanBish. Thanks for sharing.@LivingLightly, my numbers after eating that mashed potato with my lunch earlier: 4.8 before and 5.8 two hours later. No wasted strips today, either!
