I often buy Basa at an Asian grocery store (Basa originates from Vietnam), although the last time I bought some at Costco. The flesh of Basa is less firm than say cod or salmon, but it cooks very quickly. I am not sure in the UK, but here in Canada basa is very economical as compared to other fish species.My first time ever trying Basa fish fillet and have to say it is delicious!! I have never really liked fish but this is moist and has a very delicate flavour....especially when dripping in the butter it was cooked inMushrooms are frozen ones...not as good as fresh but nice enough. Now the wait to test in 2 hours to see what effect it will have... I expect little effect so fingers crossed .......surprised after 2 hours 6.2 but thats ok

Have you cooked other protein foods besides meat using this sous vide method? @DJC3B- h/m yoghurt with blueberries and a spoonful of M&S grain free granola.
Out again today, took a packed lunch of tuna salad. Drank lots of tea
D- Sous vide topside of beef ( 8hr at 55 C) with green beans, cabbage and cauli cheese. 1 small glass red wine and a few squares Montezuma’s AB to follow.
I must make another one of those soon. It was lovely. As yours looks.
How does anybody manage without cauliflower rice? @Rachox. It's so extremely versatile and it's a great way of increasing the vegetable and fibre content of a meal.Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: kedgeree made with cauliflower rice.
