What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

since you have both tasted this gorgeous sounding fudge, can you make any suggestions for alternatives to cocoa?
Mr B doesn't eat chocolate. Poor man. But I respect his decision.

So, wot do you think? is the cocoa vital to the texture? could I coffee instead? or is there anything else that springs to mind?

He may not be a chocolate man, but he has an unlimited capacity for fudge in all its non-choc forms.

Hello
B. Summer fruits with yoghurt

L. Melted Camambert with a few walnut pieces (yes it's my current favourite)

62 minutes continuous swimming

D. Irish stew adapted, lamb chop, carrots, onions and swede with lots of pepper cooked in the pressure cooker. ( this was an experiment and it didn't raise my bs. It only went to 7.4) 5 strawberries with yoghurt.

You know what's coming next.............. Yep, a pomegranate pot :)
@mo53 we had Camembert and walnuts for lunch yesterday cos I'd seen it in your menus! Yum yum!

I don't know - but you could experiment. Coffee and walnut would be lovely. I think first of all just put in one teaspoon of coffee (powder) and taste to see if it's enough. It's not fudge texture in the traditional way, but is still gorgeous.

B bacon omelette
L blue cheese crackslaw
Snacks - decaff American with milk, redbush tea with almond milk.
Had 2 helpings of crackslaw, don't want dinner!

I'm new here. I'm trying low Carb out but is sweet potato considered low Carb ?

Breakfast was 2 oatcakes an apple

Linch was Omlette with salad and cashew nuts a banana before it

Dinner chicken salad sweet potato and some mayo

Should we be snacking ? I had 25g 70 % dark chocolate with nuts as my only snack today
Sweet potato isn't that low carb, nor is banana x

Tough one, I've looked on comments in recipe http://www.ditchthecarbs.com/2015/07/03/walnut-keto-fudge/ for guidance. The cocoa powder added something - maybe you could use ground nuts? Pistachios?

Or comment on the Ditch the carbs and Libby might make some suggestions?

Hello
B. Melted Camambert and walnuts ( I didn't have any berries )

L. Leftover Irish stew

D. Fathead cheese crackers (biscuits really) with marmite
Strawberries and yoghurt.

Dare I mention pomegranate pots and later? :)

Not a good morning. Bed on 6.7 got up to 9.3!!! It isn't coming from carbs so either I have a bug stewing again or my liver is still dumping like blue blazes. Got back to low 6's later thankfully.
B. Was late - after swimming with No 1 grandson. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 rashers of crispy bacon. Black tea.
Lunch. Nothing too busy battling rain and wind shopping.
D. Rib eye steak with lettuce, 1 majestic tomato, small avocado, chestnut mushrooms and Helmanns. Coffee and a dash of cream. Sugar free jelly.
Hope I have better figures tomorrow.

B: Cheese on toast using Tesco high protein bread, it was nice, but I may have forgotten how cheese on toast tasted like as I didnt have any in 2016, don't think I will ever again, had the munchies all day so
S: Almonds 2 handfuls
L: Soup, and slice bread
S: More almonds
S: The rest of the almonds
D: A pizza thingy made with a couliflower base and homemade coleslaw

I take it you like almonds then???? :) :)

Breakfast: Baked mackerel with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Lunch: Nothing

Dinner: Roast duck, a savoury morrello cherry sauce, asparagus, cauliflower and broccoli

Glass or two of wine

Yesterday was
B: bacon and egg, with herb tea
L: nothing
D: chicken, onion and pepper skewers with celeriac chips and a slice of coffeenwalnut cake a couple of hours later

Today is/will be (seems like a heck of a lot of food!)
B: bacon and egg
L: chicken skewers, celeriac chips
D: sausage baked with mediterranean veg.

We may be going out to a cafe this afternoon. Not yet confirmed. If so, I intend to eat a slice of orange cake with cream before going. That will prevent me being tempted when I see the menu. :D

Slight improvement on yesterday. Bed on 7.4 (No idea why) got up to 8.6 which isn't a drastic rise overall if only the start point was lower.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 rashers of crispy bacon. Black coffee with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing
D. It's Sunday! Diet Doctor pizza (1/4 for a starter - rest is away for tomorrow). Veal sirloin with chestnut mushrooms, roasted spiced cauliflower and shallots, steamed mixed greens and aubergine chips (still have half the aubergine for tomorrow as we still have no aubergine but the other veg is coming back).
Sugar free jelly, 6 raspberries and a spoonful of cream (bought the extra thick by mistake but it was good).
Glass of prosecco and campari and soda.

Hello
B. Red berries with Greek yoghurt

L. Melted Camambert with pecan nuts

No swimming today

D. Piri Piri salmon with asparagus tips. 3 strawberries with yoghurt.

Pomegranate pot tonight:)
What exactly is a Pomegranate pot? Is it just a pot full of pomegranate or something completely different? !
