What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I tried the DD crackslaw last night and it said to cook the mince in butter. I'd already cooked the cabbage in butter and olive oil so didn't add more butter. What with the cheese added too ... it enjoyed it but it was rather oily so I hear what you're saying. You can have too much of a good thing!
When I did the Crackslaw I cut out a lot of the fats. I used a touch to stop the mince sticking and the cabbage I steamed no butter before putting it in with the mince. As you said by the time the cheese went in there was plenty of fat in it.

Yep .. you can definitely have too much of a good thing :-)

Breakfast:
2 egg cheese omelette, bacon (2 rashers) and mushrooms fried in butter (swoon!)

Mid morning:
Coffee with cream

Lunch:
Corned beef quiche (made with no pastry!) plus salad, seeds and avocado with full fat mayo

Dinner will be:
Chicken breast stuffed with Philly garlic & herbs then wrapped in bacon and grilled, leeks stirfried in butter with cream and cauli couscous

Supper:
Lidl Roll with butter, avocado and smoked salmon

Reading up I suspect my liver is chucking some glucagon out in the middle of the night - high fat supper with a bit of carb the last few nights has led to me sleeping through the night

Hope to get my meter tomorrow and see what is happening to my blood sugars

The coffee question is inconclusive. Without the coffee on its own BG crept up 0.2 from the fasting level which is not a lot (and a lot less than yesterday). Need to repeat it again and see what happens.
B. 2 scrambled eggs with parsley and 2 rashers of crispy bacon and my delayed coffee.
L. Black tea and another Oopsie ham, avocado and salad sandwich. (Day 2 and the Oopsie was still soft and springy. Will be making a lot more and freezing).
D. Another air fried chicken thigh and drumstick with mixed leaf salad and Helmanns.
Going out tomorrow so alcohol will figure!

B: Full fat greek yoghurt with berries & flaxseed
L: Beef sandwich with Seed sensations granary wholemeal bread (followed by hour long walk)
D: Lemon chicken casserole with savoy cabbage & broccoli

Good Lord, no - I am never going down that road again!!
It was Cadburys Dairy Milk. I have no excuse, either, as I have some Green & Burton 85% in the cupboard..... :sorry:

I once got a Cadbury cream egg stuck in my mouth! I couldn't get it out, obviously couldn't swallow it whole, and couldn't angle it in my mouth in order to bite it in half.

I had to wait for it to melt :joyful:

My mouth is small..:D

I would have gone into a total panic!
