Today

Brunch: Eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato - out of this lot its the mushrooms that are the treat. They always raise my BG and have no idea why.

Dinner: Slow cooked huge pork shoulder joint in lemon, fennel, white wine and olive oil, low carb mash (cauliflower and celeriac) brussels sprouts and more cauliflower but roasted with fennel seeds this time.

@Chook - I'm getting the slow cooker out today too for family dinner cooking. Sounds like you have a large slow cooker too? Sunday is Brunch for me too. By the time I potter about before I know it it's midday.
B/L after my 'can't be bothered cooking ' yesterday , today I had 2 Herta chicken frankfurters , 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 rashers of crispy bacon, 2 mushrooms and a duck egg.
D. Will be Monkfish slices with black pudding, chorizo and rocket probably with a bit of hot sauce in it. Slow cooked leg of lamb with shallots, celery, peppers, broccoli, green beans and cauliflower mash. Sugar free jelly, mixed berries and extra thick double cream.
Campari and soda and a wee dry prosecco.
Better go for a shower now before we hit midday!

Sorry about the car. RAC are great though (touch wood) I have gone through 6 tyres in the last 2 years thanks to nails and every time the RAC has been there in 30 mins which is great. I think the fact I'm disabled and usually have 2 little people in the car makes the difference. RAC reckon all these nails are due to the amount of building going on in our area. Kwik Fit say the same as there has been an upsurge in tyres punctured by nails. Gets a bit scary as I've had a blowout with 2 of them.
A friend in the USA is always having bother with their cars. They live well out of town but the number of problems they have is incredible. She ended up in a ditch just before Christmas thanks to the really heavy snow they get. Makes us kind of grateful for our issues.

I wouldn't be without my slow cookers - I've got three - all were gifts and they are all different sizes.

As usual your Sunday dinner sounds amazing. I love mingling but we don't have it often as Mr C doesn't like the texture.

'Mingling' how did auto-correct get that from monkfish

That raised a smile! Even I was having trouble working that one out. Meantime hubby has just done all my dishes from earlier. And hoovered while I clean the toilets !

@Chook I thought you meant mingling , as in being with other people, lol but then got to texture and decided it was monkfish lol

B- Cheese, jelly, berries, yogurt and cream (not all in the same bowl!)
L - leftover lamb with cabbage and leek in cream
T - still full from lamb but possibly jelly, berries, yogurt and cream when we get back from church

Hello
B. Fathead cheesey crackers with Philadelphia cream cheese

L. Eaten out. Yorkshire ham ploughmans lunch. No bread and no crisps . Fabulous ham and cheese and had mayonaise on the side salad.

D. Toasted a 'Lauren's fluffy biscuit' and had poached eggs on it. Strawberries and Greek yoghurt.
Not sure whether it will be a pomegranate day.

B: bacon and egg in cafe.
L: hungry, cos of the tiny portions in the cafe, so had more bacon and a cheesy 2 minute muffin
D: will be DietDoc rhutabaga fritters with smoked salmon again. Can't wait. The scent of those gorgeous fritters as they cooked was delicious. Looking forward to a repeat.

Breakfast - crustless quiche

Lunch - cold lamb, half an avocado, 6 baby plum tomatoes

Snack - 1 mini babybel

Dinner - bolognese with courgetti and cheese

That dinner sounds delicious. I've not tried celeriac ... what does it taste like and is it low carb?

I love swede ... might give them fritters a try. Whoever said low carb was boring?
